Chapter 2: What now?

Barney's Story:

I'm losing my touch, I cant stop thinking about Robin. Yeah I know I wanted the kid but I did ask myself 'Dude, are you even ready for a baby? Don't lose your awesome.' I got turned down by three girls this week what have I been saying that's wrong? I don't know but all I can think about is Robin...

I walked into the bar to see Ted and Marshall looking worried over at Robin and Lily.. 'Hey guys waddupp?!'

'Hey Barney' they both said.

'what's wrong with Robin? You and her having been talking much lately'

'what we are just fine.... oh look a pretty girl' I got the usual drink and headed over to a girl.. and yes again Barney Stinson blew it off with her... I turned back and notcied Robin crying. I started to worry.

I sat for a few minutes with my drink looking over every so often. I got up to go back over to Marshall and Ted and i ran into Robin... I didn't know what to say to her at that moment so all that came out was

'hey Scherbatsky... where you off to?'

'have to go home i'll see you around.' I bit my lip as when she said that.

There was something else she was telling me I had to find out.. She told Lily, she wouldn't be able to keep something from Marshall... I was going to ask her what was up but before i could say anything else she was gone... I sat over with Lily, Marshall and Ted, who were now trying to get it out of her, and this time Lily was a closed box this time. Dammit. Time to think of a plan.

'Guys I promised Robin, I wouldn't tell this time please stop asking me'

'Lily... You normally would crack by now, telling us every single detail' Marshall said.

'It's not going to happy this time guys... she will tell you's herself when she wants to' 

Ted didn't argue with her.. but he was doing that weird yet awesome stare at her it looked like there were talking to each other telepathically. Classic. Ted always done that when he didn't want anyone or me to hear somethings... I looked at Marshall he was in on it too... Dammit they dont want me to hear what they are talking about. Not awesome. 

Lily looked away and bit her lip. Marshall looked at me worried as with Ted well you know Ted... He looked like he was gonna buy Robin a present and give her one of those horrible massages to make her feel proably worse about herself..

'Lily we should go home it's getting late' whispered Marshall to Lily. 

Lily nodded and got up taking Marshalls hand. 'See you guys tomorrow' 

'Yeah see yous' Then Marshall and Lily walked out.

'Yeah Barney I should go too, have a class first thing in the morning'

'On a Sunday, really Ted?'

'Yes'

'But I was hoping you would come play Laser Tag with me'

'No Barney, remember what happened last time?!'

'No...Yes that was Legend...wait for it....Dary!'

'Dude, you got us thrown out!'

'I most certainly did....' I laughed as I couldn't deny it.

'You hit the owner Barney'

'Because he owed me a free hour! As I'm just plain awesome when it comes to Laser Tag'

'You get competitive when you don't win'

'Yeah.. yeah.. yeah.. hottie at twelve o clock, lets play a little game called haaaave you met Ted?'

'No Barney..not again'

I got up and dragged Ted over to the hot brunette. I cleared my troath and she turned around 'Hi haaaave you met Ted?'

I left Ted and sat down listening this would cheer me up a little bit Ted getting denyied by a hot girl he will never get ha Awesome. 

'Hi, I'm Ted'

'No way your Ted Mosby?'

'Yeah you are?' 

'Vanessa Williams, I'm taking your classes on Architecture'

'I totally forgot, Yes I do remember you, sorry a lot of students in that class' he said apologeticly.

'yeah i know' she chuckled. 'i sit near the back so you probably don't reconogise me'

'yeah i do your the pretty one'

She blushed and looked down.

I rolled my eyes. 

'maybe i could take you out sometime?' he asked

'I would love to' she handed him her number. 'I'll see you tomorrow Ted' 

 'Yeah, see you Vanessa' He walked back over to me and sat. 

'Hot Girl, Well done T-Dog'

'Don't call me that again Barney' 

 'Sorry T-Dog'

'I should go Barney talk to you tomorrow' 

'yeah i'm going too might as well' i said getting up.

We left the pub and Ted went back up to his appartment. I was just signaling a taxi and there was Nora my ex-girlfriend walking down the street... 'Barney?!'

'Nora?'

'I was just at your appartment and you weren't there, i came to tell you i still love you...'
