Kai shot up, instinctively grabbing the weapons that lay by his side.
"Now now," the voice spoke again, "We will get to the fighting soon, for now, let me introduce myself."
What seemed to be a man stepped out from the thickness of the mist.
"I am Noredieel, and this is my kingdom."
The fog cleared, revealing large walls and very distant buildings.
"Are you going to introduce yourself?" Noredieel spoke up.
"You're already aware of my name, I assume you know the rest."
"Very well, Kaidesuki, now we may get to fighting."
A woman and a man appeared next to Noredieel.
"Hiya sweetie!"
Kai knew that voice, it was Suki.
"Oh great, now we have Mr and Mrs lemme ruin your eye sight here."
"Be aware of the fact that I could kill you." Kaidesuki spoke up.
Kai took a glance at Kaidesuki.
"I'm not in any way familiar with the concept of what you are or what I am, but I'm almost positive you'd die if I died."
Kaidesuki grinned, "You're smart, but we're here to fight, not talk."
"So be it."
Kai readied his weapons as he watched replicas of them appear in Kaidesuki's hand.
"Begin." Noredieel spoke.
Kaidesuki dashed at a speed too fast to render with the naked eye, leaving a devestating blow to Kai's gut. The attack had Kai racing through the air at incredible speeds. He eventually hit the ground, tearing up the back part of his shirt.
He struggled to breathe, but still managed to get up. No sooner did Kaidesuki land another blow, this time on his back, sending him into the ground. Kai felt breaks and pops, he was helpless, yet still he rose.
"You're persistent." Kaidesuki spoke up, "And awfully weak."
With that being said, he nailed yet another blow into Kai's stomach, sending him into a nearby rock. Upon impact, a jet of blood made its way out of Kai's mouth.
"I've hit you three times, yet you still live, you're one surprisingly durable and dumb human."
Kai chuckled a bit, confusing Kaidesuki.
"I've gone through much worse." He claimed, clearing the blood from his lip.
"Then allow me to step up my game."
Kaidesuki landed yet another blow on his stomach, breaking the boulder and yet again, sending Kai flying. He hadn't even hit the ground before Kaidesuki nailed a blow to his back, then his stomach, back, stomach, back, stomach. The corner of Kai's eyes began to grow dim, dark, the pain eased up. Kaidesuki landed his last blow, sending Kai into the ground, making a crater.
Get up...
A voice in Kai's head kept him slightly awake.
Get up you idiot, you're stronger than this...
It took him a few minutes, but Kai rose to his feet, the dust from the impact was starting to clear.
Now use those swords, fight back.
The dust cleared to the point where Kai was able to see Kaidesuki's face. He was shocked.
"Now..." Kai spoke up, his voice dark, and bold, "It's my turn..."
Kai gripped his swords and made a leap towards Kaidesuki, hitting him in the jaw with a force he didn't know he had. Kaidesuki hit the ground, hard. Without hesitation, Kai dropped to where Kaidesuki had landed, grabbing his collar and throwing him.
Fight...
It was the voice in his head again.
Fight until you can no longer lift your wrist. Fight until every bone in your body is broken.
Kai felt power filling every blood cell in his body. He felt himself changing. The color of his eyes became purple, and tattoo like markings appeared on his arms. He followed close behind Kaidesuki, the throw was awfully powerful. He hit a blow to his back, sending him skyward.
"Doubt me again..." Kai said, basically teleporting above Kaidesuki.
Kai flipped his swords in his finger, waiting for Kaidesuki to reach his height. The markings on both of his weapons began to glow as they spun faster and faster.
Kai let out a blood cry as he jabbed the weapons into Kaidesuki's gut, sending him down to the ground faster than the eye could see.
Kai panted, his swords and newly added tattoos faded as he slowly brought himself to ground level."You should never judge your opponent by appearance," Kai spoke, his chest lifting and falling to the rhythm of his breath.
Kaidesuki stood up, falling back down the moment he did
"What was that....How did you get so powerful when Suki and I weren't providing you with any..?"
Kai's facial expression changed, he remembered the voice he heard just before he went berserk.
"There was someone talking to me. I'm still not sure who it was, or what it was, but I know it was there."
Kaidesuki gathered the strength to stand, holding the stab wound in his stomach as he did so.
"Whatever it was," Kaidesuki shook his head, "I'm almost certain it isn't one of us."
Suki was tapping her chin, suddenly scared by loud clapping.
"Incredible performance, Kai, incredible indeed."
"Why am I here, and where is 'here'?"
"This, Kai, is home, this is the realm of the Kira."
