"It's positive I'm pregnant," she said to Michael in a monotone.

"Isn't this good? You've always wanted children." Michael said looking into her face.

"of course but... Michael I'm afraid. I've never been pregnant. My mother died giving birth to Charles and I."

"Don't worry," he said tracing her worry lines with his fingers, "that was a very long time ago anyway. Technology is more sophisticated now we have more knowledge then back then. Hardly anyone dies of child birth these days in fact next to no one."

"I know it's just so... I don't know," she said leaning into Michael.

"And here I am trying to give words of wisdom to the person at least 100 times my age." he said drawing circles on her back. "how old are you again?" he said jokingly which resulted in a painful punch to the chest.

"Don't you use my age against me... I am the oldest living person on earth. You should respect your elders."

"yet you are still capable of pregnancy." he quickly squirmed out of her reach as she lashed out widening her eyes in anger.

"You. Ughhhh! I wish I could murder you but then I'd be a widow" she said and shortly after let out a long sigh.

"You think you would have gained some wisdom over all those years Vera, but you can't just get rid of me. You need me. To level your insanity if not anything else. Everything is going to be alright. Don't worry." he moving back to her side and pulling her into his embrace. "Surely there must be some perks to being immortal? Like I don't know... never dying?"
