Phil ran back down the hall, trying to find where the Doctor was. His concern for Heather overrode his anger at Dan. He eventually found them. The Doctor had laid Heather on a bed, and hooked a monitor to various parts of her body.

"Honest, I'm fine," Heather insisted, but the Doctor was having none of it.

"I cannot have the queen of the Illycanthropes injured before I bring her back! You're too important for anything bad to happen to you!"

"Doctor, it was just a panic attack. I'm fine."

"You're not!" The Doctor said. Heather tried to sit up, and he pushed her back against the bed. "Stay on the bed or I will restrain you!"

Heather immediately lay back down. She hated being bound, she told Phil about it when they were kids. Now that he thought about, Heather's childhood was more messed up than either of them understood at the time.

"There we go," the Doctor said. The monitors beeped rhythmically, showing her vital signs. There was something weird on the screen, though. Heather's anatomy was mostly human, but her heart and stomach changed places. If she were to be hit in her stomach, she would immediately die.

Phil stepped closer to the monitor, his eyes not quite registering what he was seeing. That was such a huge weak spot!

As Phil was staring, the TARDIS suddenly lurched to the side. Phil grabbed the nearest thing to him in an attempt to keep his balance. This happened to be the side of Heather's bed. The Doctor, however, was not quick enough. Instead of grabbing something, he was thrown across the room, where he slid down the wall to fall in an undignified heap.

"What?" he muttered. Suddenly his eyes widened in realization, and he stood quickly and began running back down the hall. Confused, Phil followed him.

They raced down the corridor, the Doctor dreading what he would find. He hoped from the bottom of both his hearts that he was wrong. But the moment he could view the console, he knew his hopes were in vain.

Dan stood at the controls, flipping buttons and switches. He was a madman, causing destruction with no thought or plan. The cage he has previously been contained in was on its side, forgotten.

"Dan! No! Don't press those buttons! We'll crash!" the Doctor yelled.

"That's the plan!" Dan cackled maliciously.

"Dan!" Phil yelled. He and the Doctor ran forward, but the Doctor hit something and fell back.

Phil, however, kept going. He ran forward and crashed into Dan at full speed. The two fell over in a tangle of limbs, each trying to get the other off. Instead they just got more entangled. The TARDIS was still lurching around, and the Doctor was beating against an invisible barrier.

Phil finally managed to pin Dan's arms  to the ground. He stradled him before kneeing the brunet in the stomach. Dan breathed in sharply, obviously in pain.

"Doctor! How do I make it stop!" Phil yelled over his shoulder.

"I've no idea!" the Doctor yelled back.

"Great," Phil muttered. He looked back down at Dan, who seemed to be in less pain than a few moments ago. "Alright you butt-'

Dan cocked an eyebrow.

"Shut up. How do you turn this off?"

Dan shrugged as best he could. "I just pressed random buttons, I have no idea how to make it stop."

Phil growled. He picked up his right hand and punched Dan in the face.

"Ow!" Dan yelled.

"We could possibly die, Dan!"

He squirmed under Phil, trying to get free. "I don't care!"

"Well, I do!" Phil yelled back.

Dan managed to somehow roll over, so now he was the one on top. "Well I'm awfully sorry Phil, but dying is a part of life!"

"What happened to you?" Phil asked softly. "Why are you acting like this?"

Dan smiled evilly. "I'm finally able to show myself. I don't have to hide anymore! It's a liberating feeling, Phil, and I'm revelling in the joy. Not to mention I can have some Illycanthrope for the first time in centuries!"

Phil pulled up his leg and kicked Dan between the legs. Dan howled and fell off of Phil. Phil stood and began to run to the control panel, only to be stopped by the sight of Heather standing in the hallway.

"Heather!" Phil yelled. "What are you doing!"

Heather didn't reply. She simply raised her arms. The controls quieted down, and the TARDIS stopped lurching. The Doctor, who had been leaning on the invisible surface, fell forward.

Without a word, Heather turned and walked back down the hallway.
