Dark Galactic

ELEEN WAS BESIDE ME as we were crouching stealthily towards the tall and massive building the enemy called the "Jedi Temple". We couldn't see very well since night had fallen. The tall were casting shadows over the road. We avoided carrying lights. Being seen would be the death of us. As I had taught her, Eleen scanned the perimeter with binoculars: trying to count the number of guards in front of the back entrance.

"I can see 32 . Half of them on each side of the doors and they all have lightsabers." she reported.

"Nothing we've never handled before." I replied.

"To be honest, I only came for the action. It's been a while since I've fought something that does anything other than shoot." she noticed my dark expression and added quickly. "And because I obey your every command, Master."

"That's what I thought. Show your master some respect and you will receive the same. Give me attitude and your payback will be much worse than that. Am I understood?" I asked threateningly while looking at her with powerful and menacing eyes. She needed to know where she stood.

"Yes, my Master." she whispered as if saying it louder would be a death sentence.

"Now, let's continue with our mission shall we?" I added calmly.

We were behind schedule and we needed to move before the sun rose. It was time for us to start the first phase of the mission. I tucked the strands of my long black and red hair that were falling from my braid behind my ears. The wind was getting stronger. Our dark robes were close to flying and we steadied them with the force. I took the binoculars from my apprentice and took a look at the guards whose blood would soon cover our hands. I looked at my apprentice and tried to retain her image in my mind as if it were the last time I would see her: her dark skin, her light brown hair, her fierce yet focused eyes... I had a bad feeling about letting her in on this deadly mission. The odds of dying during this assignment were higher than I was comfortable with but she wouldn't accept no for an answer; even after I told her she wasn't included in the briefing, therefore she wasn't supposed to be coming. I was allowed to pursue my mission with my apprentice since it would profit my benefactors as well as me, though they were reluctant about letting Eleen in.

We formulated a plan to take out the guards. We had the element of surprise in our hands. Eleen was tasked with eliminating the right half, while I would take care of the others. We started walking towards the temple silently at first and picked up our pace when we were in range to attack our enemy. They noticed us when we unlocked our crimson red lightsabers, but it was too late for them. Eleen was too fast and most of them fell one after the other on the cold hard stone with a few minutes. The others were trying to resist. She took care of them like she had done this a thousand times. The remaining guards at her side tried to strike her down but she blocked all the assaults. They put up a fight but it was easy for her to eliminate them. On the other half, I was attacking and intercepting with skill and thought. It didn't take long after one had fallen that all of them were sprawled on the stone around us and their blood was covering our hands.
