They ran together to Lizzie's house . They were very scared. When they arrived,in front of the yard was Lizzie's mom . She motioned with her finger at Lizzie to go to her. The girl did as her mother said . Her mother pulled her hand and toward her to the door.
" But ..." Luke said .
" It's fine !" Lizzie said to him similng .
Dear Luke ,
I'm fine . My mom said that my dad didn't hurt her and she didn't hit me . Now he is far away . But I am not allowed to see you or send you letters. I'm lying to her now that I'm talking with my grandma .
