Why did he do that?

Why didn't he let the ball hit me?

Why did Nicholas save my face?

  Oh well, I guess I would never know because gym class just ended.

"Are you okay?"
"Are you hurt?"
" Dana, I'm fine" I said rather confused.
  " wow, I can't believe Nicholas did that" Dana stated excitedly.
  " ya, me neither, I gotta go to the hospital"
" why?"
" I need to give my mom lunch" I answered walking away as fast as I could. Did I mention that my mom is a nurse?, well she is and she does both morning and night shifts to get more money.

I was almost out of the school when I bumped into someone. I didn't really understand  what was going on with me.

"I'm so sorry" I said picking up the person's books.
"Are you always this clumsy?" The person answered with a hint of annoyance.

"What?" I looked up and my eyes met with the most gorgeous brown eyes I've ever seen.

NICHOLAS

"I'm sorry, wait I already said that"
" whatever" he said brusquely.

Wow, who peed in his green pod?

"Wait"

" what do you want?"

I could sense a hint of anger in his voice.

" I just wanted to thank you for what you did"
" what did I do?"

  Well this is awkward

" you know, the gym and ball, my face and stuff ". Even I didn't understand what I was saying.

  "Oh, that, I just did that so we wouldn't lose. I hate loosing and with you in the group, our chances of loosing was pretty high"

Ouch

"Uh, you know you could have just accepted the 'thank you' without actually insulting me" I was already getting angry, I could feel it.

" nobody asked you to approach me and your thank you wasn't needed because I have no use for it".

Oh, that's it. I dropped his book on his leg with as much force i as I could muster.

"Ah, are you nuts!!!!!!!!!" He shouted angrily and I actually flinched a little but I decided to stand my ground because I wouldn't let anyone deride me and I mean anyone, not even some hunk, handsome dude with an amazing hair that I wanna run my hands through and his charming eyes that.........what am I doing!!

Concentrate

" oh my did I hurt you? "

"You little....."

"I think i'll be on my way now"

" where do you think you're going? Pick up my books now! "

" wow, if you actually think that i'm going to do that then you're dumber than I thought" I walked away immediately not bothering to listen to him but I couldn't help but listen to what he said and those words made me shiver.

"THIS ISN'T OVER"

Nicholas's POV

I watched as she left the building. She has some nerve standing up to me like that, I knew I shouldn't have saved her, I don't know why I did that. Its probably due to the fact that she captivated me.

I shouldn't think like that anymore but I can't help it, after all she's done to me in the past, I still can't control myself.

If she thinks she can control me then she'll have to think again because i'm no longer that small incompetent boy.

I control both my mind and emotions and no one is going to stop that. I'll just have to get back at her.
