When he got home, Brian was greeted by his cats. He spent extra time with them, cuddling them, playing with them, feeding them. They gave him comfort and helped him relax.

After tending to the cats he went upstairs to shower. He stood under the hot water for quite a while, letting it wash over him. He was tired but he was grateful that Giovanna was alive and that she knew the truth. She was all he could think about now. Nothing else mattered.

He didn't want to have to go back to work in three days. He wanted to be with her, to take care of her. He had already made up his mind that when she was released from the hospital he was bringing her to stay at his house while she recovered. He wasn't going to take no for an answer.

In addition to filming the TV show he had live shows coming up in a couple of weeks. He wished those could be canceled but knew that was virtually impossible. He was pretty sure Kali would take care of her while he was out of town, at least he hoped so.

On his way back to the hospital he stopped at a fast food restaurant and got a couple of cheeseburgers, which he ate on the way. When he got back up to her room he found her awake and talking with Kali. She gave him a small smile when she saw him.

"Hi," she said.

"Hi," he said, kissing her on the cheek. "How's my girl?"

"I'm ok."

"Feel better?" Kali asked him.

"Yeah, somewhat. Took a shower, got something to eat.. I'm good to go for another twelve hours."

"Alright, well, I'm going to go," Kali said.

"You don't have to go on my account," Brian said.

"No, it's not you. I told Tom I'd come home when you got back."

"Thanks for coming," Giovanna said.

"No thanks necessary," Kali said. "I'm glad you're ok. I'll be back tomorrow. Get some rest."

She turned to Brian and said "See you tomorrow."

"Ok," Brian said. "Can I talk to you for a second before you go?" He motioned to the door, indicating he wanted to talk in the hall.

"What's up?"

"When she gets released I'm taking her to my house to recover. She doesn't know it yet, but she is. I have some tour dates coming up. Weekends. Two weeks from now and the following weekend. Would you be able to take care of her while I'm gone?"

"Of course. I'm glad you'll be looking after her. I was worried about that."

"Thank you. I'll get you the details next week."

"Sounds good."

When he got back in the room he sat down and took her hand.

"What was that about?" she asked.

"Well, when you get out of here I'm taking you home with me so I can take care of you."

"You don't have to do that."

"I know, but I want to. And I'm not taking no for an answer so you don't have a choice. I have some tour dates coming up and I asked Kali to look after you while I'm gone."

"I'm not a child," she said.

"I know, but with a broken leg and bruised ribs you're going to need some help getting around. Please don't argue. Just let us help you."

"Ok. Thank you."

"How are you really feeling? Do you need anything?"

"No, I'm really ok," she said. "The nurse was in while you were gone and gave me more morphine."
