Once I get to Alex's front door, I'm met with a huge hug from Vic before I'm lifted off the ground and my legs are wrapped around his waist, his lips managing to connect themselves with mine. Well, that was awfully quick. After a few seconds we pull apart, but Vic still holds me up, staring into my eyes. "Jeez," I say, smiling like an idiot, "what was that for?"

"That was because I missed you," he says. I shake my head, closing my eyes and resting my head in the crook of his neck. I take in his scent, letting out a deep breath afterwards.

"I wasn't even gone for a day," I say into his skin. He lifts me up again slightly and keeps his hands secured (oddly) comfortably on my ass. "I missed you too though, babe."

"Were you guys drinking?" he asks suddenly, finally letting me down slowly. I stretch and look into his eyes with my half-lidded ones. "You smell like beer, and you kinda tasted like it too." I nod, a small smile forming on my lips at the sight of my boyfriend. "You also smell like cigarettes," he says warily.

"Alex smokes. Let's just get home," I whine slightly. I mean, I am still tired, and I wouldn't mind going home and going back to sleep. Vic nods, locking the front door to Alex's house and closing it behind us when we both walk out. I climb into the car, buckling up and leaning my head against the window. Vic gets into his side and starts the car, driving us home.

I open my eyes when I hear the engine shut off and Vic's hand brush lightly against mine. I glance at him before he says, "We're home, darling." I smile. Darling, that's a sweet nickname. I nod, unbuckling and getting out of the car. As we start walking towards the house, Vic speaks again. "You seem really tired, did you even sleep last night?"

I shrug. "Maybe for like three hours," I reply through a yawn. Vic rubs my back, closing the door behind us. He points upstairs and gives me a slight push towards them. I let out another yawn and trudge slowly up the stairs. Once at the top I make a direct turn to Vic's and my room and crash on the bed, crawling under the warm blankets. I sigh in content, my face sinking into the pillow.

After a few seconds in the darkness and warmth, I feel somebody's cold hand rubbing my arm. I groan slightly and they chuckle. "Vic, I'm trying to sleep," I mumble into the pillow. His hand moves up to my shoulders and he begins massaging them, causing me to hum in pleasure.

"I know, I'm just helping," he replies quietly. I wiggle my shoulders slightly and he laughs, letting me go.

"Cuddle with me, babe," I whisper, turning my head to finally face him. He smiles and walks around the bed, climbing into the other side. He opens his arms and I scoot over, hugging onto him and resting my head on his shoulder. I close my eyes and take a content breath, a small smile on my lips. He wraps one arm around my back and plays with my hair with the other.

"Go to sleep," he whispers, his fingertips running lightly down my cheek. "I have to watch Copeland while you do." I hum and he rests his hand by his side, the other one on my hip. " 'Night, darling," he whispers, kissing my forehead.

I wake up groggily, but I don't have even the slightest idea as to what time it is. Vic isn't next to me anymore, so he's probably somewhere with Copeland. I don't know about Mike, but we hardly talk ever since that one conversation we had. I sit up and stretch, yawning, more awake now.

I climb out of the bed and walk to Copeland's nursery. It's vacant, so I venture downstairs to see her and Vic watching TV on the couch. I smile and walk behind Vic, loosely wrapping my arms around his neck in a hug. " 'Morning, sleepyhead," he says quietly. I smile and lean my head against his, awkwardly stretched out with my chest on the back of the couch.
