1, 1 day left of freedom.

Alexander has spent the past week with me and making every moment memorable for me before the King comes.

He was mad at me at first for not telling him about everything that was going to happen. I kept having flashbacks of the day Alexander had come over
angrier than ever.

*flashback*

Heavy footsteps were coming towards my room as someone ran up the stairs.

"Winter!" The familiar voice yelled causing me to stand up and walk cautiously towards the closed door but before my hand could even reach the doorknob it was busted open by Alexander.

"Alexander." I sighed relieved.

I looked into his eyes to see hurt and pain before he quickly covered it up.

"You didn't tell me!" He growled not wanting to yell in my parents house.

He didn't even have to finish because I already knew what he was talking about.

"I was going to! I promise I was!" I said scared that he would lose his temper if I said the wrong thing.

Alex closed his eyes and reached his hand up placing it on the bridge of his nose. He inhaled and exhaled before opening his eyes and taking a step towards me. My eyes started to water and I almost couldn't stop the sob I was holding back.

"I'm sorry." I whispered closing my eyes as the first few tears started to fall.

I was instantly pulled into Alex's firm chest as he rubbed my back as the tears began to rush out like a river.

*end of flashback*

I looked up smiling at the man I love as we laid on his bed talking about random little things that we liked about each other.

"Your smile is by far your best feature." Alex said looking at me and giving a light smile causing butterflies to erupt in my stomach.

"What about my hair? And makeup!" I said earning an eye roll from Alex.

"Let's be honest dear, you hardly ever wear makeup." He said grabbing my arms and pulling me towards him on the bed.

A squeal escaped my lips as he suddenly rolled onto me and I began blushing as he kissed my cheeks and my eyes closed as he kissed my lips. Suddenly my blazing red cheeks felt cold and I couldn't understand why until I opened my eyes to see that Alexander was crying?

The Alexander Berkeley is crying?

"Alexander?" I said placing my hands on his face wiping away the tears on his cheeks with my thumbs.

"Don't leave me." He whispered causing all of my courage and strength to crumble.

Those three words ended my whole wall I had built up to keep everyone from seeing how upset I truly was.
The tears began falling down my face as reality began to set in that this would be the last time that I would see Alexander. Maybe I would see him when the King would have parties?
