"That's not a good enough answer Quinn, I don't know you. Just starting, what is that supposed to mean?" I grumbled. His response had me worried, if the so called Druid didn't want to stop it then how was I supposed to do it, I couldn't. I didn't like the fact that he could hear my head either it made me uncomfortable. I threw my hands in the air at his silence, and decided to get some fresh air. "I'm going back to the hotel... I'll get more information from you tomorrow about all this I need to think, without you in my head.
Quinn grimaced at that but didn't stop me, "Alright, I'll be at your show tonight as well if you want to talk then." Taking my leave, I went to the room and gathered my things, then walked outside, where I found Opal waiting by the car with a grim expression.
"You don't have to Opal, I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable, I still don't know what to make all of this yet." Was how I greeted her, of which melted the grim and she smiled understandingly at me.
Opening the door she got in, "Don't be silly I won't make you walk, I just hope you will give us the benefit of the doubt. It is unexpected to him as well, all of us really. I won't make you ask if you want to know what I am," she offered winking at me as I sat in the car and buckled in. Curious I nodded sheepishly, "My husband and I are shifters, and they come in many forms. We are both gray foxes, and we are in fact the last ones in town." Opal's answer took me off guard, but I was a little amazed at it. To be able to turn into an animal, was definitely interesting.
We got to the hotel and went up to my room and took a quick shower before putting on some comfortable clothes. Some dark fitted jeans, a sleeveless black shirt with the top around the neck made of sheer lace, and some black riding boots. Originally I had wanted to go back to the ruins but with this information I felt held back, I didn't want whatever this is to get any worse. So brushing through my hair I sat and emailed my crew, who responded immediately in all caps. Apparently they were already almost here, I rolled my eyes at that. It did take me nearly two days to respond, they must've got on it yesterday afternoon. They may have called Gabriel but without actually hearing from me they were paranoid, always have been.
Getting their arrival time I decided to wait till they got here to go anywhere else, if they brought the van then my own ride should be in it, I wouldn't have to rely on anyone else for it. I was excited to have them coming so early, maybe things would make better with them here, could I tell them about what's going on? I'd ask Quinn later, until then I waited and tried to do more research, from anything to Druid's and shifters, to magical gates. The internet turned up nothing, I'd have to ask about that too.
Maybe an hour later I got a knock on my door, turning the knob I barely had a chance to open it when a young woman burst through. "We're heeere!" she sang as she struggled carrying four bags into my room, another followed smiling widely at me. I grinned back letting them set their stuff down before hugging them in turn. The tallest had a willowy frame with a large bust, and pastel pink hair down to her waist. Her large green eyes grinned at me, as she stood beside her best friend. The pink haired woman was Iridessa, and the woman beside her had long thick dark brown hair and a homely expression to match her big mouse-like eyes was Gaia.
"Hey girl, you got hooked up real nice while we were gone, huh?" Iridessa exclaimed checking out my room with interest, going in the bathroom and even gasping at the stone pool like tub. "I heard you lost your phone, so I got you a new one btw," she added coming back and handing me an android. It was a newer version that attached to and wrapped around my wrist like a watch, or like a headset, and when activated the screen projected in front it for me to access.
I began playing with it and setting up the design and layout for it, mesmerized "Awesome guys thank you, it's good to have you back. Some crazy stuff has been going on I tell you what," I complained, but happy nonetheless.
