Chapter 2: surprise

I slowly opened the door to reveal ... A toilet, I have no idea where I'm going! I look around the bathroom and find another door, I slowly walked over to the door and try to open it, but as I was opening it I heard someone speaking. It sounded like my mom giving a speech which was probably the best time to surprise everyone.

I swung open the door, ran on stage and hugged my mom. She stumbled back and didn't realise it was me but when I looked up at her she covered her mouth in shock.

"Omg what are you doing here I thought you were in America"
"Happy birthday" I said and laughed, I looked over at everyone in shock, yes they remembered me. I hugged my mom one last time before running down the steps and hugging all of my family, they all said pretty much the same thing -
"You look so different"
"Have you grown ?"
"I've missed you"

I was talking to my grandma before looking up and seeing 2 people running towards me, before I could see who they were they engulfed me in a huge hug. Once they stopped hugging me i released exactly who they were.

''OMG ZOE,JOE"I screamed and hugged them both again, they both laughed.
'Thanks for telling us you were coming home' Joe said sarcastically.

"Well then I wouldn't be able to surprise you"
"OMG is that why you ignored my call" Zoe asked
"Yes because I'm still an awful liar" I laughed
"I can't get over how different you both look" I said in shock

"How different we look, what about you, what happened to your blonde hair" Joe replied
"It got boring so I changed it to brown"
"It looks better" Joe said and tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear.

Why did that give me butterflies.
Why did that make me nervously laugh..
Okay right I'm just overthinking things I've been speaking to him for 2minutes.
"Thanks, hey do you wanna get a drink" I asked them both
'Sure!' They both responded

We walked over to the bar and all ordered our drinks. Zoe decided to go and speak to her boyfriend Alfie who I've never actually met before.
That left me and Joe, standing there with our drinks...

"So how's YouTube been going" I said as I took a sip of my drink
"Amazing, I love it but I forgot to upload my video that was supposed to go up tonight, oh well I have an excuse, what about your YouTube" he asked

"Also amazing, but i kinda have no ideas so I had to do a q&a last week" I laughed
"Why don't we film together, it'll be fun" Joe said trying to persuade me to film with him
"Sure, when would you like to film" I questioned
"How about tomorrow"
"Sure, I'm free then"
"Cool, would you like to know where I live?" He asked
"Yes please"
Joe told me his address and we started talking about our collab more when my mom called me over.

"Got to go" I said to Joe before running over to my mom. "Amy you remember Joe and Zoe's parents" my mom asked

"Of course I do, Graham, Tracey, how are you" I said hugging them both
"Were good thank you, wow you look amazing" Tracey said making me smile
"Thankyouuuu !" I said

We started speaking and as the night went on I started getting drunker and drunker and drunker. Not good .

See when I drink, i am very aware of my actions, at least I think I am...

Music began blasting out of the speakers and I, of course started dancing with Zoe. We were laughing and having fun when Zoe said she needed to go and give her birthday present to my mom as she'd forgotten. I was now left on my own when Joe came over to me.

"Hello" he said
"Hi, Zoe left me"
"I can tell' he laughed
"Wanna Dance" he said holding his hand out
"Sure" I said taking his hand
We started dancing and having an amazing time together.

Me and Joe were laughing and made eye contact for a long time, it looked like he was going to kiss me as his face got closer and closer to mine, but he stopped and said

"I've got to go and get another drink, want one"
"No thanks I'm fine, I'm going to speak to my
Mom a bit more" I said and started walking towards my mom. Thoughts were filling my mind.

things like-
We nearly kissed.
He's my best friend.
I have been speaking to him for a couple hours.
Why did I want to kiss him.
I'm so confused.
It's probably just because I'm happy to see him.

The night came to a close, everyone started saying bye to my parents, while I was saying goodbye to the Suggs.
"It was lovely seeing you all again" I said hugging all of them
"Where are you staying" Zoe asked me
"In a hotel" I replied
'Not anymore your staying with me' she said
"I can't do that" I said
"Yes you can come on get in my car" she said laughing

I laughed at Zoe knowing how stubborn she is
Before I got in the car I said bye to graham, Tracey and Joe.

"Don't forget about our collab" Joe said before getting in his car. "I won't" And then me Zoe and Alfie drove to my hotel to get my things and set off to Brighton.
