Chapter 5 - The problem

Matt's P.O.V - Point Of View.

The bell rang. I went straight over to Dom after class. Dom was out on the school field with Chris without any trace of [your name]. This was my chance to ask if Dominic really liked [your name] or not. 

 Dominic greeted me as soon as he saw me, "Hey Matt!" 

"What's up?" Chris asked.

 I sighed, "I'm...I'm alright. Where's [your name]?" Dom and Chris shrugged with slight concern. "Oh. Well...Chris do you mind if I talk to Dom one-on-one?" Chris raised an eyebrow but nodded all the same and walked away then stopped and waited. My glance drew over to Dom. With another sigh, I hesitatly asked, "Do you...Do you like [your name]?" Dom looked at me as if to say, what do you mean? "...Y-you know...As in...Like-like." It got quiet. Soon the silence became uncomfortable and rather awkward until he finally spoke, 

 "Uh...Well..." He rubbed the back of his neck, "What if I did?" 

Dom's answer took me by suprise, "What do you mean?"

 "...Why do you want to know?" 

"O-oh! I'm just...Curious you know." I laughed nervously. 

 "So you want to know what I think..." 

"Yeah!" 

 "Well if you really want to know..." Dom raised his hand and then covered the side of his mouth so Chris can't lip read what he says. He whispered, "...Yeah...I do." Dom chuckled a bit. I think he was expecting me to laugh as well but I didn't. My heart sank. I wanted to tell Dom that I liked her too but...What would he think? Would Dom hate me? I was lost in my thoughts but soon I snapped back into reality when Dom waved his hand at me, "Dom to Matt! Dom to Matt! You there, pal?" As to not worry him, I nodded quickly in response. Dom nodded back and stood straight then looked over at Chris and motioned him to come over. I told them I'd be inside.

 Truth be told, I wanted to get out of there. I didn't want to be near Dom. I decided to tell my closest friend [besides Dom and Chris]...Tom. Tom Kirk. Tom's helped me through the toughest times. I'm sure he has some advice to give me, right? Just hope I don't bump into [your name]....Augh...What do I do?! I'm gonna have to be ninja! 

 I managed to sneak my way to Tom who hangs out at the library. 

"Um...Tom. I've gotta ask you something..." 

 Tom looked up at me then smiled. "Yeah sure. Anything you want!" He then patted the seat next to him. I forced a smile and sat down with a  sigh. "...Take your time, Matt." 

 "Okay well...I have...A dilema. And well...Y'know [your name]?"

"Uh-huh." 

 "...I uh...I like her." 

Tom gasped, "As in...Like-like?!" I chuckled with a nod. "What's wrong with that! Just ask her o-" 

 "No but wait!" 

"Hm?" 

 "Dom also likes her..." Tom looked at me, wide eyed and his mouth open in shock. 

"Seriously?!" I nodded. "Wow. Sucks to be you." He laughed. "Hmm...I think you should probably tell Dom. I mean you two are great mates right? I'm sure he'd understand. Besides...Hes a womanizer! He can get any girl he wants."

 "True..." I thought for a moment. Tom just looked at me. "Well. Thanks for the advice!" I stood and grinned at him then left. I didn't look back at him. I just looked down. Thinking how and when I'd tell Dom. 

 I mean sure. We've both have forgave each other and we don't always agree with everything...But would he let this go? I hope so...
