Mari's POV

I raced barefoot across the cold ground. I couldn't remember it being this bad since I had been lost in the woods. The cool wind bit at my arms in the white hospital gown I was wearing. It burned at my throat and stung my eyes, causing slight tears to flow.

Great, I was already dehydrated enough.

I kept running, but I tripped over my own feet. I fell, crashing into the dirt. I turned and looked over my shoulder to see..

No one.

There was no one running after me, no one shooting at me.

Nothing.

I got up, slowly. Something was very wrong. I looked over at the airport. It was dark, completely, pitch black, dark.

What was going on?

I trudged along the forest covered area next to the plane runway, constantly looking over my shoulder. The trees were covered in a light frost. I only then realized exactly how cold it was and how a hospital ground wouldn't be much help in the terms of warmth.

I curled in a little ball.

I saw a flash of color between trees.

A 2p..? No. I wouldn't make sense for them to be acting all sneakish. I walked silently behind the figure.

I recognized the messy blond hair. My heart leapt and then broke slightly, remembering when I had last seen him.

Arthur.
