Erwin Smith
As the judge sat in silence to think he smashed his mini mallet on the desk and cleared his throat. "I unfortunately cannot give the Recon Corps this information. That is to much and a large invasion of privacy. But what will happen is this, we will hand over Hanji to the scientists. Just Hanji, Mike cannot be included in the operation, and to you and one other person we can reveal the information to. Chester will be given to the Recon Corps, but he will be here every Tuesday and Friday. On all breaks he will be here, and if he defies anyone, he gets sentenced to death. Outside of the walls." He says.
I sigh a small breath of relief. But then he says something horrible. "If you DO mess up, we have to kill the subject as well."
The Military Police are okay with this but I am outraged. "Sir, may you please reconsider your decision? It is for sure a good one, but can I make a small tweak? If Mr. Chester Ongalu messes up can Ms. Ackerman live?" I ask politely, trying to his my true intentions.
The judge begins to think but some idiot from the Military Police interrupts him. "Wait, you want to give him information, when he clearly knew her last name? Something that was not supposed to be known to him?" He says.
I begin to feel stupid as I realized I had let it slip. I had nothing in my defense. I felt a shaky hand on my arm as Hanji stepped forward. "I..." She said shakily.
"I told him." She forced out with a guilty look on her face.
I take all of this by surprise. Why? It's because she didn't...
This is the shortest chapter of my life ;-;
