Dipper's P.O.V
"yo Dipper!" Someone called. I turned around recognizing her voice, it was Wendy! She ran up to me, she was wearing her signature outfit, the same as last year the only difference was that my pine tree hat was on her head.

"Hey Wendy!" I replied. She smiled once she reached my position then took the baseball cap off her head, and her hat off of mine switching them back to their rightful owner.

"Miss it?" She asked with a small smirk. I rolled my eyes running my hand along it's blue rim. So maybe she was right, maybe I did miss this hat but whatever it only reminds me of bill cipher and all so.

"So hey I was kinda surprised when Soos told me you guys would be coming back for the summer, he even gave me the day off yesterday and closed the shack just to pick you guys up" Wendy said

"Ya that was going a little too far..." I said laughing a bit "but hey Its kinda nice to be back, plus we got to meet his niece"

"Niece?" Wendy asked confused. I opened my mouth to explain when someone calling my nickname cut me off.

"Pine tree! Hey! Dipper!" (y/n) called running up. When I turned to face her a blush fell onto my cheeks at the outfit she was wearing. It was a plaid (f/c) bikini, white frills lining the top part and ending in a white bow. The bottoms were white with four lines of plaid (f/c) ruffles making it look like she was wearing a skirt.

"H-Hey (y/n)" I stuttered as she approached and smiled at us. Wendy looked from her to me then back to her a smirk falling on her lips.

"Hey nice to meet you, I'm Wendy" Wendy said holding out her hand, (y/n) grasped it and introduced herself.

" (y/n)" She said before drawing back her hand. When she noticed what we were wearing she frowned a bit "Hey...is wearing this ok? Mabel told me I had to wear this to the lake so..." At that Wendy laughed a bit removing her green sweater and placing it on (y/n)'s shoulders.

"Ya Mabel exaggerated a bit, we're going looking for the gobblewonker right? Ya we're probably going to be running around" Wendy replied.

"Shooting Star" I swear I heard (y/n) mumble under her breath as she pushed her arms through the sleeves of Wendy's sweater. It covered just enough making it look like she was wearing a plaid (f/c) skirt instead of a bathing suit.

"S-so uh-" I started coughing a bit to clear my suddenly dry throat "shall we go"

"Alright lets go catch us a dinosaur!" Wendy said pumping us up "I'll go rent out a boat, meet'ya at the dock"

"Ok!" (y/n) and I replied. The three of us split up, Wendy heading towards the shop while (y/n) and I headed towards the dock. It was a little awkward between us, she was in her room with Mabel, Grenda and Candy until it was time to go, and even then Mabel told me she'd be meeting us there instead.

"So, uh" I started but (y/n) held up her finger stopping my from continuing.

"Before you ask, shoo-Mabel tricked me" (y/n) said crossing her arms "she said 'because your going to to lake you need to wear a bathing suit' I didn't believe her at first saying we're just going to look for the gobblewonker, but Grenda and Candy teamed up with her and I couldn't do anything"

"Well..." I said at a loss for words, deciding to make her feel a little better by complimenting her "I was going to say you uh...you look cute" I felt my face grow hot as I said that meaning every word.

She looked at me for a few seconds as if in shock before a light blush formed on her own face and she turned away from me "th-thanks" she mumbled. Her voice sounded as if she had been taken off guard and she didn't turn back.
