A character clash of Loki from 'Thor' and Adam from 'Only Lovers Left Alive' :)

Loki eyed the mortal before him as he sat slumped against the sofa in a tight fitting black top, black jacket and black trousers. Loki didn't appeal to this attire. There was no trace of green anywhere. The mortal was not looking at Loki, seemingly unfazed of who stood before him. Loki took this opportunity to examine the mortals appearance. His hair was similar to his own, jet black and long; if not slightly messier. His jawline was sharp and angular and his mouth was thin; almost like he never smiled. But it wasn't any of this that caught Loki's attention. Despite the mortal's demeanour there was something about his eyes. About the way they danced and sparked dangerously. There was definitely something else there but Loki couldn't quite figure out what it was. Was it pain? Madness? Hate? Loki mentally shook his head. It wasn't any of those. It was something more. Like the mortal craved something, whatever that was. It was a look Loki knew all too well.

Hunger.

Loki tore away from his thoughts and spoke to the mortal, trying to sound as threatening as possible.

"Tell me mortal, what is your name?" Loki ordered. The mortal glanced up, his face relaxed and, if Loki was not mistaken, he almost looked bored. The mortal sighed.

"What's it to you?" he dragged, his voice slow and deep. Loki huffed, crossing his arms.

"Do not toy with me mortal. I am not one to mock. I am very powerful you know. I could kill you before you even had time to call for help." Loki warned, his expression growing in frustration. To his astonishment, the mortal merely laughed.

"Oh really? You could kill me? Please, be my guest. Would be fun to see you try." The mortal chuckled to himself half-heartedly. Loki could feel the frustration turning into anger, burning in the pit of his stomach.

"How dare you mock me! I am a god! And royalty at that! I am destined to be crowned as ruler so you will treat me with respect!" Loki shouted. The mortal smirked.

"Whatever you say princess." He replied, having no care for the man in front of him. Loki could not believe what he was hearing. He had never been so insulted in his life. It was absurd. The mortal glanced at Loki's expression, allowing a look of amusement to pass over his features as he pulled himself up slowly and walked over to his tape player, hitting the play button. A soft drum beat hummed from the speakers as the mortal picked up an instrument, caressing it fondly as if it was his lover. Loki was speechless. It was clear that the mortal had no intention of listening to him. He had no idea why he had been sent here. It clearly was a mistake...

The mortal began to strum a soothing tune from the instrument, his eyes closed and his mind completely lost in the music. Loki stared at the scene curiously.

"What is this melody you're playing, mortal?" he asked. The mortal opened his eyes slowly and shrugged his shoulders.

"No idea. I just play whatever my mind comes up with. Now if you excuse me princess, I'm rather busy." The mortal drawled. Loki huffed at being mocked once again by the mortal. This was not how it should be. The mortal should be kneeling for him; under his command. Instead Loki had been made fun of and ridiculed. And now the mortal was playing music. A sweet, mesmerising tune that Loki could not help but be in awe of. As much as he hated to admit it, he was enjoying it.

He was enjoying it.

"You have exceptional talent mortal. What is that machine you are stroking with your fingers to make the tune, may I ask?" Loki asked inquisitively. The mortal sighed, halting his playing, leaving only the drumbeat playing in the background. The mortal stared at Loki, temporarily frustrated at being disturbed whilst playing his music. Yet, he could not help but chuckle at this royal's lack of knowledge of the musical instruments and sounds surrounding him.
