Sovann stood across from Chan behind the stand once again. "Before we start playing, we're going to review what we talked about last time. Can you tell me the notes for bass cleft and the order of sharps and flats?"

"Sure teacher. For bass cleft, the line notes are G, B, D, F, A. The space notes are A, C, E, G. The order of sharps is F#, C#, G#, D#, A#, E#, B#. The order of flats is Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Cb, Fb. " Chan replied quickly.

A smile came upon Sovann's face. "Good job Chan. That's all correct."

"Can we play music now please, teacher?" Chan asked.

" Yes we can. You can pick which piece to play."

Chan leaned forward and started sifting through the assimilation of black and white on his stand. After a couple seconds of shuffleing, Chan put a sheet of music on top of the rest, and picked up his bow. He laid his bow onto the strings, and lifted his hand to the proper position on the neck of the cello. He then inhaled, and stated the piece.

As he played the first chord, Sovann knew which piece Chan had chosen. It was the Bach unaccompanied cello suite No.1 in G major. Chan was playing the prelude of this suite, the most recognizable one.

This was the first real time other than simple scales that Sovann had heard Chan play. He expected to hear perhaps an above average player, but when he heard Chan play without any practice, he was completely blown away. His talent...He thought to himself. He has so much talent. He could go so far.

Then an idea struck Sovann. Perhaps I can set him up for world fame. With one simple concert, he could easily become world-renowned. And with this thought in the back of his head, he continued to listen to Chan play the suite.

"Matron, I was wondering how willing you were to share Chan's talents with people" Sovann said.

"What are you referring to exactly?" She asked, confused.

"Well, Chan's talents are exceptional without any teaching at all, and with just one opportunity of exposure, he could get famous quick and be able to experience many things that not very many children his age could get to experience. He could train with well-known musicians, he could meet anyone he requested, he would get opportunities to play with the top orchestras, all of those are easily within his grasp if he has one opportunity to show his talent" He explained.

"What sort of opportunity could he have to accomplish such things?"

"Well, I know some people who could help sponsor a concert that would make him world-renowned overnight. All that he would need to do is prepare a concert reportoire, and I can take care of the rest. After, and with, this concert, he will be able to share his talents with everyone in the world. He can share his traumatizing life events, and perhaps inspire others who may feel helpless. He could do so much to help others, and help himself"

"I would love him to have those experiences and opportunities. So I will suggest that you do help put this concert together. But the final decision will have to be up to Chan himself. He will be the star of the show, and these are life changing decisions we're making for him. So before going ahead with any plans you should clarify with him."

"I shall do that at our next lesson then, Matron." He replied with a smile.

"Chan, how would you like to perform in a concert that will make you world famous?" Sovann asked after gently coming upon the subject.

"World...famous? What sort of things would I be able to do with that?"

Sovann proceeded to explain the sorts of opportunities and experiences he would be able to have and how he would be able to possibly inspire others to go into music even in their dark situation. As he explained all of the poosbilities, Chan's face brightened more and more with every addition, and by the end he appeared to be gleaming with excitement and inspiration.

"Yes, I would love to do that for everyone. I want to help people. I want to inspire, and help others. When will the concert happen?" He asked with a twinkle in his eye.

"Well because of how high your talent level is, you'll be more than ready to perform in any amount of time, and I have been ready with my connections, so I do believe this concert can happen in a week's time."

"Really? Great! If you don't mind, I would like to put together my repertoire for the concert. "

Sovann replied, with a chuckle, "Alright, Chan. I'll leave you to it."
