Everything is a lie!

The way today started I thought it was going to be the best day ever. That was the first lie. I walked out of the house with my favorite flavor Pop Tart hanging from my mouth and struggling to find the other sleeve to my jacket.

"You think you could be on time for once?" My best friend Tianna glared at me from the side walk in front of my house. I've known Tianna McCaw all my life. Literally, she lives next door, and we've been bind by the hips ever since diapers. She is shorter than me by a few inches, she has short strawberry blond hair that she wears in two pig tails, and she had gray eyes with extra long eyelashes. She always wins the most beautiful girl in our class every year, well because that wasn't a lie, she is beautiful. Like natural I'm envious.

"Sorry." I mumbled making sure not to drop the strawberry filled Pop Tart but then Tainna snatched it out of my mouth and gave me her devious smile. My stomach growled knowing we're not getting it back.

"You're so thoughtful Ky." She smiled and took a huge bite. I watched the delicious part of breakfast makes it way down to her stomach. My watered mouth drooped. I mentally cursed her. She knows I live for Pop Tarts and especially for breakfast.

We walked quietly in the direction of the high school we will be attending for the next four years of our teenage life. Tianna was typing something in her phone while I was enjoying the walk. We lived by a field where the boys from the neighborhood middle and high school practiced. Usually around this time it'll be the high school boys practicing baseball or soccer, but from the looks of it it's the middle school turn. Sad. I thought I will get a chance of being a perv. I mean high school boys are far different from middle school boys, they have bulky muscles, some have piercings or tattoos, and they are even tall. Now since I'm out of middle school and now becoming a high schooler my eyes are even more glued to high school boys.

First thing on my list of becoming a high schooler is to get a BOYFRIEND!

"Ky, it's a bummer we don't have any classes together, not even advisory." She threw her arm over my shoulder and poked out her bottom lip. I know for a fact that she isn't really upset. A few days ago we learned that the boy she's been crushing on since middle school has most of her classes. She was ecstatic about it. She jumped around her room for days screaming his name and thanking God.

I should be the main person to be bum because I wouldn't know anyone in my classes, especially advisory. Advisory is the main place where you meet your friends and set up lunch arrangements. At least I do have some parts of lunch with Tianna but only for five minutes until she returns back to class. Ninth grade is going to be tough. I'm bummed.

"What are you thinking Ky, I can see the smoke coming out of your ears." She laughed and continued to walk while I stopped. Tianna knew me better than I did. I was thinking, but not of a exact plan. I was thinking of turning around and running home to make Dad beg the principle to give me all the same classes as Tianna. In the end I know that will fail. Dad'll tell me to be a Montello. Besides Tianna is wicked smart.

"What if I don't make any friends Tianna?" I whined. I stood watching her turn around to face me. And of course she had a dumb look written across her face making me regret for ever asking her, she can never take a situation serious.

"What's not to like about you Ky?" She laughed reaching for my hand tugging me all the way to the school gates. There's a lot to not like me. Number one reason I'm DULL!

They're already in groups! Every one are already in their cliques while I'm just sitting here alone and they're laughing and joking around. That's just great! While I sat around looking like a bump on a log I decided to observe the groups. It was just like middle school, you had the students who were into sports, the students who were into studies, the students who were up to date on fashion, and the ordinary students. Me, I'm just left out. I don't fit in anywhere. I was my own group.
