People blame it on the rain.

My alarm clock flashes 9:00 am. The time it always does, every single day. I get out of my bed with purpose and go straight to the bathroom to prepare for another boring uniform day. I rinse my mouth with water and stare at my reflection. There is nothing out of the ordinary with me. Brown hair, brown eyes, tan skin. I don't stand out in anyway. Just a regular girl with a regular life. I look at the clock, 9:15 flashes on the screen, just like yesterday and the before.

I walk out of my bathroom to choose my clothes. Thunder rages outside my window. That is out of the ordinary, I think to myself as I pull on a white shirt and black jeans. I lace up my white converse and walk to the front of my house.

I remember to lock the door as I leave just as I do everyday. Not forgetting the rarely used umbrella that I own. It's a regular day in California that is, except for the rain. I open my umbrella and walk down the street. I walk everyday and today is no different. As I near my campus the thoughts I have everyday cross back into my head.
Why am I like this? I'm so average.
Everything here is average. Except for today. The scream is the last thing anyone saw. My scream. The one I let out as I was whisked away by the rain.
