My plan went off rails. Carolyn dumped me, and now she got together with Nick. Nick!? Of all people, the one boy who made my blood boil. The one person that I could not stand. I heard the announcement on the loudspeaker. I picked my stuff up and ran outside. I dashed down the hall to Carolyn's AP History class. It was apparent that Carolyn had walked in with Nick because Nick was there too. I went to Nick and told him "Meet me outside, if you're man enough". With that I ran outside the school to wait.
I was done with him. I opened my jacket pocket and took out my knife. I kept it with me at all times. I refused to be anything like the vulnerable little boy I once was. I slipped the knife into my right hand and carefully concealed it under my jacket sleeve.
Nick walked out completely oblivious to what would happen next. And then, he spoke.
"I'm here; what do you want?"
"Just the satisfaction of putting you in the hospital"
I took out my knife and quickly stabbed him in the stomach. If I couldn't have Carolyn neither could he. He grabbed my the knife while it was still in my hand. I quickly pulled it out causing him to scream in pain. I watched his eyes closed and walked away. I was determined to not leave a witness when I knew  sooner, or later someone would come outside. I hid behind the bushes as I waited for Carolyn to come outside.
She came outside and I knew the deed had been done and it would all unfold now. I thought of how easy it would be for me in that moment to sneak up behind her and give the same fate as Nick. Or, I could give her the same fate as Rose. I could drag her back to the warehouse and torture and beat her until she proclaimed her love for me. There was another way though and that is the one I would choose. I would let her watch Nick die and then I would comfort her, I would save the day. In my mind it was the perfect plan, so I sneaked away. I would let her believe it happened on its own. I would let Nick, the only witness, die.
