It has been hours ever since Ash and Greninja were seperated. Ash, Clemont, Bonnie and Serena were all walking to Ash's final gym battle when Ash got off track when he saw a pokèmon and ran after it.

"Go! Greninja!", Ash said as he threw his pokèball. "Gre!". "Use cut!", Ash said. "Nin!", Greninja replied. After the attack had landed, the pokèmon cut in half. It was fake. Ash saw and knew what was going on. Before Greninja could return, they were gased. Ash let go if his pokèball and fell unconsious. Greninja picked him up and started to run, but then something hard hit him in the back of the head. He fell down next to Ash. He closed his eyes as the gas took over him.
~End of flashback....~
