I held is hand in mine
As I knew we were running out of time
How could I be so blind.

"It's okay"
"It's time for you to let me go"
He swallowed
For my heart felt hallow

I leaned my head on his shoulder
The news hit me like a boulder
...his hands felt colder...

I knew we were running out of time
As I held his hand in mine.

A/N hello lost girls and boys!! Ace here! So this was my first poem whatcha think? I wrote this when I was 7 or 8. It was about my grandfather who passed away from stage 4 pancreatic(I think that's how you spell it) cancer. He and I were extremely close spent everyday with each other. He taught me the true meaning of love. And what it feels like to be loved. He meant the world to me. So when i had my final goodby my world shattered and I became depressed to the point where I would refuse to eat. I Love you, stay strong and always remember your worth it.
