"Bri do you have everything?" I hear Mitch yell from downstairs, and I finish shoving the last of my clothes in probably my fourth suitcase, two of which are already in the car.
It's too early in the morning for this.
"Yeah, one sec!" I grab the last of my stuff from my bathroom, throwing it in the suitcase and zipping it up. "Can you help me with these?"
"Sure," I hear him coming up the stairs, and I throw my duffle bag over my shoulder. He walks in, looking at my stuff and chuckling a little. "What do you want me to grab?"
"Doesn't matter." I grin, grabbing the two suitcases and starting to walk out, but he won't let me out of the room. "Mitch," I whine, but can't help smiling.
"I hope you know you're not carrying all of that."
"I'm a big girl, I can carry what I want," I reply stubbornly, glaring up at him.
He takes both suitcases from me, turning and making for the door. "Mitch!" I yell, running after him.
He makes it to the car, putting them in the back and then turns right when I reach him. "There, that wasn't so hard, now was it?"
"It was so hard." I try to glare again, but I end up giggling instead. "Doesn't our flight leave soon?"
"Yeah."
"Then we should get going."
He grins, unlocking the car and getting in, and I put my duffle bag in the back seat before climbing into the passenger seat. "Airport, ho!" I point to the front of the car, my face completely serious until I see Mitch trying not to laugh from the corner of my eye, making me lose all seriousness.
After a laughing fit, we finally drive to the airport, which takes about 30 minutes on the freeway. Once we park, get our bags, get through security and wait for our flight to begin boarding, Mitch whips out his phone. "I'm vlogging for YouTube, okay?"
"Sure," I reply, looking over to the line to get through security before looking back over at Mitch, who grins into the camera.
"Hey doods, it's Mitch here with my best friend, Bri!" He turns the camera to me, and I give sort of a half wave. "And we're at the airport currently, waiting to board the plane to the Team Crafted house in LA!"
I shake my head, grinning, but I sort of tune out to what he's saying. He finishes up when our flight is called to board, and I laugh a little bit when we get into our seats. "People actually enjoy your face?"
"Why wouldn't they?" He grins at me, and I giggle.
"No reason."
***
The landing gears bumping as we touch down wakes me up from my sleep, and I can see its dark outside. Mitch is still asleep, so I shake him awake. "Mitch we're in LA!"
"We are?" He asks, and I laugh, my excitement getting the best of me.
"Yes!"
He looks down at his phone, turning it off of airplane mode and immediately it lights up with a ton of messages. I wait for him to look through them, and he looks up at me. "Jerome should be here to pick us up."
"Ok," I reply, slightly hesitant about this whole thing. I was moving into a house across country with a bunch of people I didn't even know, should I be worried?
At that moment, I could see out of the corner of my eye, Mitch looking at me adoringly.
And that's when I realized; I shouldn't be worried, I have Mitch.
And that's all I need.
