I saw his smirk return at my shocked words, instead of saying anything he started walking towards the bike, as his shoulders were shaking with his quiet laughter. I wanted to throw something at him, but I had nothing to throw. I walked closely behind him, my eyes narrowed to slits as he continued to snicker at me.
"You do know how to ride a bike, right?" He turned to look at me, leaning casually up against the side of the bike.
"Lean with you on turns, hold onto you, wear a damn helmet." I spat out, crossing my arms over my chest.
" Okay, you may be blonde, but at least your smart. "
" Blake have you ever looked in a mirror. " I twirled my hair in between my fingers, tilting my head to the side.
" Yes, and it fell in love with me." He rolled his eyes. " Can we go to the store now?"
" I never said we couldn't."
"Smart ass."
"You're the one to talk. Just get on the damn bike." I threw my arm out, and gave him a look that would always shake men in their boots st the bars around my house.
" Alright, mother." He chuckled, getting onto the bike, putting on a black helmet that covered his whole face and tossed one at me.
I rolled my eyes as I got on behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist as he kicked up the the peg. The bike came to life an d we were off before I even had my black helmet on, which had some cat ears on it. It was weird, I was holding onto a guy I barely knew and I was on a bike with him. This was something my father would have kicked my ass for, probably resulting in a few broke bones. I guess somethings will never change.
We entered a tunnel, and popped out on a lonely black road with some snow on the sides were the grass was long and surprisingly thick. There was no way this could be on the grounds of the school, it was so peaceful and quiet minus the bike's noise. I laid my head on his back, and closed my eyes. I probable could have fell asleep if I didn't have to hold onto him to make sure I didn't fall off.
The air smelt fresh, and was crisp but not so badly that I was chilled to my bones. Ever since I got here I felt like I belonged here, and it made me wonder if I had been rolling over backwards for the wrong people. I was finally myself here, or at least it felt like it. I opened my eyes to see that ahead of me the trees were starting to break apart and stone buildings were lined up on black cobble stone streets.
I felt the bike slide a little as we down a hill into the small town that was surrounded by woods, it looked like it was straight out of a fairy tale. It had just the perfect amount of darkness and light buildings that it also looked like a chess board from the top of the hill where we were looking down upon it. I felt my grip start to slip as he went down the hill completely and my heart dropped when I saw how fast he was running, 97 miles an hour. I felt him put one of his hands on mine, which was ice cold, to try and comfort me. I pressed against him until he removed his hand, and put it back on the handle. He popped his neck as he skirted around corners, my leg nearly touching the ground every time. I felt him laugh as he pulled into a parking lot outside of a small little store.
As soon as the bike stopped he took his helmet off,and shook his head. A grin was plastered over his face, a grin that could have made my heart melt and left me speechless if I wasn't so mad that he nearly killed me. His eyes were amused little slants as I took my helmet off and shook my hair out, dragging my fingers through it.
"Scared much, Crescent ?" He snickered, motioning for me to get off the bike.
"No, but you will be if you ever do that again." I spat, hopping off the bike, my legs shaking slightly.
