"What kind of place is this?" I mumbled, staring at the freshly cut grass.
"A school for delinquents, like youself ." The man laughed as he pulled being the school, into a huge parking lot with over 100 cars the same kind as I was riding in.
I nodded, sighing. I ran my fingers through my hair and closed my eyes. This wasn't real, it just couldn't be, but I knew in my heart it was. This just isn't what I thought my life would be. I looked up to see a pale blue sky even though snow was glued thickly to the ground.
He stopped the car , turning the engine off, behind some kind of bigger black car that reminded me of a prison exchange car in Hollywood movies. It look beaten up, dents the size of a great sane were on the back, and scratches were all over it.
"I guess some kids don't come easily?" I chuckled, nervously, looking at his eyes through the rear view mirror.
"Yeah...something like that." He said, opening his door and popping the chikd safety lock so I could get out.
I stepped out onto the salted pavement, my stomach churning. Cold chills ran up my arms, and I had started to pant when I noticed that I was following him to a large black door on the side of the castle like building. I hesitated before I took another step as he went to turn the doorknob on the door. My heart was in my stomach as I heard the door squeal open to reval a pale blue marble floor.
I stared in awe as I stepped inside, above me was white marble with black diamonds in the middle of each square. Blinking I followed him down a small hallway, blue and white striped walls stared at me with friendly smiles, trophies stood proud in gold-colored cases along some of the blue and white striped walls. Only warmth greeted me as my finger tips slide across the wall, and a small smile played on my lips.
"This place is beautiful, isn't it?" The guy that drove me spoke.
"Y-yeah." I said, my eyes devouring the environment around me.
He didn't say another word as we walked down the hallway, and the fears that were once inside of me were seeping out and disappearing as soon as they hit the air. I heard him clear his throat which made me stop in my tracks and when I looked he had a old oak door opened. I picked up my pace, and stared at him for a second before I turned and entered a room that looked like it was stuck in the 1920's.
A long black vintage table was in the middle of the pale blue room and a woman with short flapper style hair was typing away at a modern computer. I gulped as I heard the door shut behind me, and her head snapped up and her piercing green eyes met mine. Then a smile went across her perfectly pale pink lips.
" So you're the new student?" Her chirpy voice made the room slightly warmer. Her big black rimmed glasses slid down her point nose.
I nodded, a small smile played on my lips. I was told this place was cruel and unforgiving, but I couldn't see it at all. It was almost like a second home, and for some reason, some inhumane thought, felt wrong. That feeling crept over me, consuming me until my smile melted away.
"Well, come on in. " she said.
I went over to a vintage looking blue chair, and slowly sat down. I ran my fingers through my hair again, and let out a small breath that I didn't know I was holding. Something felt wrong...I just couldn't put my finger on it - that scared me to a point I didn't even know existed...I always knew what was wrong.
" The Headmaster will be with you shortly." She chriped, her voice ringing around the room. "Mr. Blue, you can go back to your duties."
He nodded, and exited the room with one long look at me. I could feel that he wanted to tell me something, but he just couldn't. I hated that feeling. It bugged the shit out if me as he closed the door, a click that rang in my brain, and I shivered. The room got chiller when I noticed that the lady wasn't looking at me, the room seemed darker, things didn't seem as bright. Everything was gloomy.
