Hazel shook her head slightly and ran her fingers through her hair, hopping down from the stage and jogged over to the counter. She engaged into a conversation with one of the workers there, Angie.

"I'll see you tomorrow okay? Cya love." Hazel said with a small smile and turned around, suddenly bumping into someone lightly. "Oh sorry mate, didn't see you there." Hazel said politely, pushing past him and out of the coffee house. Hazel slowly made her way to the end of the street which kinda sucked because it took her ten minutes to get to the end of the street. It was really, really, really long. But naturally she just stuffed her earphone into her ears and began to listen to Passion Pit (Which are one of the greatest bands to Hazel). In which, basically summed up the rest of Hazels night.

Daniel stood up after he made eye-contact with the girl on the stage and followed her over to the counter. He wasn't following her, even he knew that would be creepy. Just getting a coffee, that was all. Daniel began to tap his foot on the ground quietly, waiting for the girl and another girl behind the counter to finish their conversation. Daniel was a rude bastard but he knew how to act around girls and that was to just let them finish what they were doing. He didn't have anywhere to be anytime soon. So, while he waited he ran over the things he had to do when he got back to his shit hole apartment. Which was swallow a ton of pills his doctor has prescribed to him and then pass out, not waking up until 2 in the afternoon. His thoughts were soon interrupted when the small girl turned around and bumped into him.

"Oh sorry mate, didn't see you there." She said and pushed past him before he could reply, not even saying 'That's okay Darling.' Daniel just shrugged and proceeded to buy his coffee and exit the coffee club a few minutes after the other girl left. Daniel shoved left hand into his jean pocket while he sipped the coffee, being cautious he wouldn't burn himself. Daniel sighed deeply, continuing to walk down the empty street at 1 in the morning. His thoughts took over him as he walked back to his apartment. Thoughts like 'What type of coffee store is open until bloody one in the morning?' and 'What am I gonna have for dinner tomorrow?'. Just the natural stuff that any depressed bastard would think of at one in the morning on a, now, Monday morning. And thats how the night ended.

Monday.

Hazel had awoken the following morning at 9:00 PM, only getting eight hours of sleep. Which was enough for her but her body felt dead and her eyes felt like they were melting. Despite that, she powered on through the morning, having her shower, brushing her hair and getting changed into plain black jeans, a collared muscle tee and studded flats. She put her hair up into a ponytail and after that she grabbed her house keys, phone and other small things and shoved them into her pocket.

Hazel walked out of her house and breathed in the Autumn air, a smile appearing on her lips. She got onto her bike and began to pedal her way over to work and as usual had the ten minute walk from the end of the street, to the coffee shop she worked at. It was just the same, repetitive morning for her. Walking behind the counter, watching all the teens come in before and after school, making espresso and occasionally talking to the customers which always made her day. She loved hearing people's stories and generally, just hearing about their day. It made her job a lot more funner.

As Hazel was making a gingerbread espresso she heard the door of the shop open, signalling another customer has entered the shop. 'I swear we keep getting busier and busier, despite this place smelling like a rats arse.' Hazel finished making the espresso, giving it to the customer who ordered it and went back to the counter looking at the next person to order.

"Oh hey I saw you yesterday didn't I?" Hazel asked with a warm and comforting smile.

Daniel woke up the next morning with tears on his face. He sat up on his bed almost instantly and violently wiped the tears from his face. He stood up from his bed and jogged over to the mirror on his wall looking at himself. He looked like a homeless person. Daniels hair was sticking in every direction, he had bags under his eyes and he hadn't shaved for 3 weeks. Daniel leaned against the wall and closed his eyes tight, trying to shut images of his past out of his mind. 'C'mon Daniel, toughen the fuck up. All of this is in the past. It's in the past. Just suck it up and get the fuck over it now.' Daniel mentally yelled at himself, fighting back tears once again. He succeeded in the end and felt like an idiot for crying. Mornings like these had been happening more frequently lately and he hated it. One decent nights sleep. That's all he needed. That's all he wanted actually. Just one decent night of sleep.

Daniel groaned at himself and took a hot shower, feeling the drops of water glide down his back and down the drain. Daniel rubbed his face and sighed as he stepped out of the shower, putting on a muscle tee, a black leather jacket, black jeans and his faded blue vans. He brushed his dark brown hair and left it out naturally. He hated his apartment and even though he slept through half of the day and had only a few hours of the afternoon to kill he would just always leave his apartment, letting his legs take him anywhere, where he could spend the rest of the day until it was time to go home. And just this one particular day his legs ended up taking him back to that coffee shop he was in the night before. Where he had met that girl. At the moment he didn't really even care or acknowledge if she were going to be there this afternoon or not. Daniel just wanted coffee actually.

He made his way into the shop and waited in the small, yet, sort of big line just letting his mind take over him. His head was still in the real world so he would keep moving forward when the line got shorter, just his mind was in his thinking place which he could be easily snapped out of. But Daniel thought of his mind place, being a place where he would actually prefer to be than being in the human world surrounded by people. He hated it here more than anything.

"Oh hey, I saw you yesterday didn't I?" A girls voice spoke to him which put Daniel out of his mind place, making him focus on the girl in front of him. And it was the girl from yesterday. Looks like she worked here now.

"Oh, um, yeah you bumped into me. Its okay, by the way. I was going to say it was okay but you left in a hurry. So yeah its okay." Daniel said laughing a little and itched the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Well then, thank you. Anyways, what would you like to order Hun?" She said smiling.

"Just a coffee thank you. Oh and I am Daniel by the way." Daniel said, shoving his hands into his pocket.

"Nice to meet you Daniel. I'm Hazel. I'll be back in a moment with your coffee which then I have a big lunch break. Mind if I share it with you?" Hazel asked him kindly. Daniel saw no reason to say no and he had no where to go and nothing to do. It would actually be pretty nice just to have someone to talk to than no one for once.

"Sure. Sure why not?"
