Kookie Day!

I know this is a little late,but because it was his birthday I felt like I had to make this. I will also be using his korean age not his international age. Enjoy~ ^^

Aish, I can't believe that today is his 20th birthday, I still feel like it was just yesterday that we met each other as 8 year old, and here we are today as best friends. It feels a little weird that I will be able to see him again though, last year I had to move from Korea to Australia to study abroad, so it has been a while since I have actually seen him in person and not through a phone screen.

I feel my phone buzz in my pocket, I pull it out and there is a message from Jin on the screen," Y/N how was your arrival?"

"It was great! It feels good to finally be back home after being away for so long" I respond.

"I feel that way all the time when we travel for shows. But, are you almost ready so I can come pick you up?"

"Yup, just got to get his gift ready then I should be ready to go"

"Okay, I'll be here there in a bit, I'll message you when I get closer."

I slip my phone back into my pocket and let out a sigh. I have known this kid for how many years of my life, but I have no idea what to give him. I have multiple options in front of me, but none of them seem to scream Jungkook to me right now...

What could I do? I look down at the MP3 player on the bed and pick it up. This would be good, but there needs to be something else, something is missing.

I let my mind wander as I think about all the memories that we have had together.

~Flashback~

"Y/N ah what is that?" Jungkook asks as he looks over my shoulder.

"I'm drawing a flower, do you want to see?" I ask.

I move over a bit so he can see what I'm working on and his eyes go wide," Y/N this is amazing! I'm doing to draw too, I want to draw like you as well!" he exclaims.

~End Flashback~

I smile at the thought of us sitting together as kids drawing flowers, it's the reason why I wanted to become an art major, Jungkook encouraged me to do after he claimed that I had an amazing talent and that I shouldn't let it go to waste.

I quickly grab a piece of paper and a pen and start to draw a picture. I finish just in time as I hear my phone go off, it must be Jin.

I quickly collect all my belongings and Jungkooks present before heading out the door and to Jin.

We arrive to the boys dorms and Jin helps me get out of the car," Thanks for everything so far oppa, I appreciate it."

"It's no problem. It's been a while since you both have seen each other in person, so we all thought that it would be a good idea" Jin states.

"So he doesn't know at all that I'm here? What happens if he doesn't recognize me?" I ask.

Jin lets out a laugh," As of now, I'm sure he doesn't know that you are here. And don't be ridiculous, you both haven't seen each other in a year not a decade."

I nod my head to Jin's comment, it's true it's only been a year and we have video chatted with each other multiple times. I think it the nervousness setting in that it making my thoughts go all over the place.

I feel a hand rest on my shoulder," don't worry everything will be fine. I promise."

I nod my head and we continue to walk up to the their dorm. We approach a door and I can hear voices yelling and screaming from the other side, a smile grows on my face just by thinking what the others are doing on the other side. Jin pulls out his keys to unlock the door and as far as I know the voices are silent on the other side now.

Jin shakes his head with a smile as he opens the door. He walks in first and I follow in behind him. Luckily because of my height and my frame no one can tell that I'm behind him unless you look at his legs.

"Hyung you're back!" I hear Taehyung yell," Do you have the stuff?"

"Yes, I have the stuff Taehyung. Now where is Jungkook?" Jin asks.

I peer out from behind Jin and look at the other 5 boys standing around in the living room,  I wave to them and they wave back.

Namjoon walks up to me and guides me over to the couch," Sit here and the rest of us will stand in front of you when Jungkook comes out."

I nod my head and sit on the couch as the rest of the boys surround me," Jungkook ah! Where are you?" Hoseok shouts.

Out of the barricade of boys I see another figure appear," Sheesh hyung why do you have to be so loud?" Jungkook asks while drying his hair.

Jungkook looks up with a confused look on his face," What are you hyungs doing standing there like that?" he asks.

"Nothing, just waiting on you so we could give you your last birthday present" Jimin giggles.

"Are you ready for the gift Jungkook?" Namjoon asks.

Jungkook shrugs his shoulders," I guess so."

At once all the boys move away from me and now Jungkook is staring at me with wide eyes," Surprise!" I say.

He stands motionless a couple feet away from me and I can't help but smile.

"Y/N, is this really you? I'm a seeing some sort of clone?" he asks while examining me from a far.

I lightly slap my forearm," Nope not a clone, I'm definitely me."

"But what are you doing here? I thought you were in Australia for your studies?" he asks while starting to slowly walk in my direction.

"I'm here for your birthday you goofball" I smile.

I extend my arms out with his present in hand. He takes it from me and quickly tears the packaging open. He examines the MP3 player, then opens the little drawing I made for him.

"Y/N, it's really you!" he exclaims as he picks me up, spins in a circle before finally pulling me into his arms for a hug.

"It's so good to see you again" he murmurs into my neck.

I let out a soft giggle," It's good to see you too... Happy birthday Jungkook."
