Dan walked up the stairs to the flat. He had two plastic bags in each hand and his keys between his teeth. Honestly, why did he and Phil have to buy the flat with the most stairs in the world. He carefully unlocked the door and walked in only to be met with a very bouncy, very adorable Philip Lester. 'Hi babe,' he chirped and snatched the bags from Dan's hands and gave Dan a brief kiss on the lips and went to unpack the food. 'Hi,' Dan laughed into the kitchen, slightly bewildered as to what just happened. 'You never unpack the... anything. What's the special occasion?' Phil didn't stop what he was doing, only giggled and went, 'nope, no reason at all.' Dan shook his head and walked over to Phil, who had just finished putting away the food, and wrapped his arms around Phil's waist. Phil spun around and put his hands on Dan's neck. 'Did you book anywhere for tonight?' he asked the blue-eyed boy. 'I did in fact,' answered Phil, 'for tonight is date night and I would never forget date night.' Dan laughed and kissed the tip of Phil's nose. 'You literally forgot last week,' Dan stated before Phil put his finger over Dan's mouth. 'That never happened,' he whispered. 'Yes it did,' Dan replied in the same tone. Phil laughed, 'well I didn't forget this time so go and get ready or we'll be late.' And with that Dan and Phil walked off in different directions to get ready.

Dan entered the living room 20 minutes later in a leather jacket, a grey t shirt and black zippy jeans. Phil was wearing a multicoloured lion t shirt, his 'ash' jacket and black skinny jeans. 'You look amazing bear,' Phil said admiring his beautiful boyfriend. 'Not too bad yourself, lion' Dan smirked with a wink, 'you ready to go?' Phil nodded and kissed Dan's cheek. He then took Dan's hand and lead him out of the door.

They arrived 10 minutes later at a small restaurant, Dan's favourite restaurant. It was always quiet there. So Dan and Phil walked through the building and took a seat outside. It was a table where no one was around. Very romantic. Dan sat down opposite Phil and they started talking. A couple of minutes later, the waiter arrived and they ordered. After they had eaten and paid, Phil offered walking in the woods. This was one of Phil's favourite things to do so it didn't take Dan by surprise, so hand in hand, they walked into the woods. Phil seemed very insistent on going somewhere, so Dan followed him until they got to a small clearing.

'Bear?'
'Yes?'
'I-I want to um...' Phil took a deep breath and just said it, 'you make me the happiest guy on the planet and I love everything about you. From the cuddles on the sofa to the sleepless nights when you're having an existential crisis. I love the gaming videos and the live streams and the fact that you're so supportive of everyone and that you put a smile on so many faces. Including mine. And that's why I want to be with you for ever and ever. So that's why...' Phil got down onto one knee and looked up into Dan's tear filled eyes. He pulled out a small black box and opened it. The small ring shone in the moonlight. 'Daniel James howell, will you marry me?'

Dan stood bewildered for the second time that day. 'YES!' Dan screamed flinging himself at the kneeling Phil, knocking them both over. Tears streamed down both the boys faces as Dan casually lay on Phil. 'I love you bear,' Phil said, slipping the ring onto Dan's finger. 'I love you too, lion,' Dan replied, connecting his lips with Phil's. And as they made out in the moonlight, nothing else mattered. Things couldn't be any better.
