"Pass me a piece of wood, babe?" Luke asks, outstretching his hand. I sat up on the chair and leaned forward, grabbing the piece of wood between my palms and handing it to him. His face contorted in concentration as he carefully placed the log onto the others in the middle of the fire pit. The flames immediately turned a shade brighter, also extending further into the sky. Luke leaned back, satisfied at his job well done and stood up from his squatting position on the ground. I stood up from the camping chair, allowing Luke to sit down in it with a small huff. I then sat back down on his lap, literally curling into him as I sat so that my legs stuck under the arm of the chair and my right side was pressed against his chest. My head against his shoulder as my left hand was placed on his heart, feeling his heartbeat steady and calm. I watched the fire from my position as did Luke, occasionally taking a sip of his beer. "How long have we been out here?" I wondered, a yawn escaping my lips afterwards. Luke looked at his phone, noticing the time was 11:02.

"About 2 hours," he estimated his arm wrapping around me just a bit tighter. I felt his cold, wet lips kiss my forehead, causing me to let out a small smile at the gesture. His hand started to move up and down my back, massaging me and almost putting me to sleep. "I wish I could do this all the time," Luke sighed, taking another swig of his beer. I brought my head up from his shoulder, looking at his side profile as he continued to watch the fire. I watched the flame dancing in his sky- blue eyes, nothing else seeming to captivate me more that that, ever. "Have a fire?" I asked, confused by the random confession.

"Be at peace," he whispered looking up at the stars that were shining bright in the late night sky. I looked down at the fire, knowing exactly what he was talking about. Being famous, of course comes with its pros and cons.

My right hand reached up to play with the hair at the nape of his neck, showing him that I was listening. "Be with you," he continued, drifting off at the end. I smiled at that, leaning over to press a kiss to his cheek.

"Soon enough, it'll all be over. And you'll be wishing you could tour again, or release a CD again," I told. Luke laughed lightly, knowing it was true. It was Luke's turn to rest his head on my chest, cuddling up to me as he wrapped both of his arms around my body, pulling me into him.

"I just.... Love moments like this, doing normal things, with my beautiful girlfriend. No interruptions; just being me. Luke Hemmings, from Sydney, Australia. Not Luke Hemmings from 5 Seconds of Summer," he admitted, continuing to speak his mind. My left hand repeated the action of pushing his hair out of his face, combing back his hair through my fingers until I reached his neck.

"And you know that I see you as the little boy from Australia," I confirmed. He nodded his head, mumbling a "course" and continued to look at the fire. You thought for a few moments, wondering how to make the most of the night. It's not every night Luke is home, enjoying time with just you and him. Of course it is nice just relaxing in your backyard by a campfire, the s'mores already being eaten and gone along with stories shared. So why not do something crazy for once, something you both won't forget.

"Let's go for a drive," I suddenly bring up, sitting up a little to allow his face to look up at mine in wonder. "To where?? It's almost midnight," he says furrowing his eyebrows, reaching into his pocket to check the time on his bright phone screen.

"An adventure is in store," I say as I stand up from his lap, stretching my back before outstretching my hand. Luke smirks at me, liking the plan already as he took my hand to help him up. Since the fire had not been replaced with fresh wood in the past 20 minutes or so, we decided to leave it since it would die out on its own, like it was now. I lead Luke by his hand to the front yard, practically running to the car in excitement.

"I'm driving, I have a place in mind," I told him as I climbed into the drivers seat. Luke ran around to the other side of the car, literally bouncing in his seat in excitement once we were on the road.
