Lula where r u??

HURRY UP YOU'RE GONNA MISS THE TRAIN

Tallulah you really need to get here!

LULA ITS 10.50

Tallulah's phone vibrated violently in her pocket as she clambered out of her car.

"Lula, get a trolley!" her dad exclaimed as he heaved her trunks out of the boot. Tallulah ran inside, grasped a spare trolley and ran back to her dad. He practically threw her trunks onto it, took hold of the handle and stormed ahead shouting "Get your cat!" as he entered the station. Tallulah lent in and grabbed the wicker cage. Her small ginger cat, Hobnob, was fast asleep inside.

She caught up with her dad just as they reached platform 9. He thrust the trolley towards her and she grabbed hold, then, clasping tight onto her cat basket, they ran at the wall between platforms 9 and 10.

"Where the hell is she?" said Lu.

"I see her!" shouted Liv, pointing a slender finger towards her friend. They four watched as Tallulah hugged her dad, kissed him on the cheek and ran towards them with her trolley.

"About time." snapped Mel.

"I'm sorry!" Tallulah said, breathless.

"Let's just get on, come on!" ordered Rosie, who was already clambering aboard the scarlet steam engine.

The five girls found a carriage and placed their handheld bags above their heads. They all waved at their families as the train sped away as the clock hit 11. Tallulah felt a warm tear run down her cheek; she had been at Hogwarts for three years, going into her fourth, but leaving her family behind never got any easier.

"You're not crying again are you Lula?" asked Lu, mockingly.

"Oh don't be mean, you know she hates leaving her family." said Rosie, as she wrapped her arms around Tallulah's shoulders.

"Yeah yeah whatever," Lu said as she stuck two fingers up at the passing platform, "bye bye losers!"

The five burst into, what would be, the first of many laughs of the journey.

"I'm honestly so excited for Care of Magical Creatures" said Liv, "we get to look after Thestrals!" she squealed afterwards.

"Can anyone here actually see Thestrals?" Lu asked seriously. Liv, Mel and Tallulah all shook their.

"I can" Rosie said. Nobody bothered to question it. There was a short silence before Lu spoke up.

"I'm taking divination this year and I have no shame."

"Divination?!" spluttered Tallulah, "Why would you do that to yourself? I'm taking Ancient Runes." she said proudly.

"So are we just not going to talk about Dark Arts or what?" said Liv excitedly.

"What about Transfiguration?" buzzed Melissa.

Tallulah quickly swallowed her pumpkin juice "I honestly can't wait for Transfiguration it's my—"

"Favourite subject, we know" interrupted Rosie. And thus the laughter aroused again.

After a discussion about Quidditch trials and whether anyone was going to try out (only Lu and Liv were going to) Tallulah piped up. She had been looking at her phone for a while now.

"Guys look at this-" she showed the screen to her friends. It was a MagiMessage post.

Hogwarts is excited to announce we will be holding a very special event beginning in October!

It still amused most students that the wizarding world had created it's own social media, but no one denied that it was very useful, especially for muggle students at Hogwarts (or indeed any magical teenager who owned a muggle mobile phone).

"If they're bringing the Triwizard Tournament back I swear to Merlin" Tallulah exclaimed as the others read.

"I'm definitely trying out if it is!" squeaked Lu.

"You'll have to be 17" said Rosie.

"Nah-ah," interrupted Mel, who was staring at her phone now too "the tournament is coming back and you only have to be 14. Apparently it's much safer this year."

"Well there's no evil dark wizards floating around so I guess that would make it safer" proposed Liv.

In their laughter, none of the girls has noticed the compartment door slide open.

"By evil dark wizard, I assume you mean Voldemort." James Potter was stood in the doorway to the compartment.

"We know your dad defeated him James whatever" hissed Mel.

"What do you want James?" pondered Tallulah. He took a crumpled piece of paper and his wand from his pocket and levitated it towards Tallulah. She grabbed the paper irritabily from the air and smoothed it out.

You ;)

"You're funny" she said, rolling her eyes. Lu grabbed the paper from her.

"Finally given up trying to pull Alice Longbottom I see?"

James smirked.

"She got stroppy with me." He laughed. "Alright I've got places to be. See you ladies."

He winked at Tallulah as he slid away.

"You're 12!" she shouted down the passage, before prominently slamming the door. She let out a loud groan as she sat down. The other just laughed at her. She eyed them all.

As the started in a new conversation, the compartment door slid open again.

"Ollie!" Lucy squealed, flinging her arms around the tall, mousy-haired boy who stood before them, already in his Hufflepuff robes. He returned the hug and whispered in her ear.

"Er, I'll be back in a minute" Lu giggled as she was whisked away from the compartment, her frizzy blonde hair flying out behind her.

A trolley witch transaction, three Ron Weasley chocolate frog cards, an escaped kitten calamity and another James Potter visit later, the scarlet Hogwarts Express pulled up at its final destination.

"Where's Lu?" asked Liv.

"Probably still snogging Ollie. Come on we'll find her." answered Mel and the four remaining friends exited the train.
