CHAPTER 17: THE BAHAMAS

Mira woke up as the sunlight peeks through the curtains of the room. She slowly opened her eyes and she smiles as she set her eyes on the man sleeping soundly besides her. He looked so calm and relaxed, Mira kissed him on his cheeks, "Good morning sunshine!"

Laxus smiled at her, "Good morning beautiful". He pulled her close for a kiss and moved above her, "so shall we have our breakfast?"

"What kind of breakfast do you have in mind?" Mira asked seductively as she wrapped her arms at his nape.

"Oh you naugthy girl!" He knew what Mirajane meant, "lets have THIS breakfast first then lets get a real breakfast later".

Mira squeeled as Laxus covered themselves with the blanket. You all know whathappened next :-P

Back at Magnolia, Erza was early for work. Eventhough what happened still bothered her, she made sure that her job will not be affected. As her usual routine, shepassed by the cafè to buy her coffee. "Hey Erza, long time no see huh?" Natsu greeted her as he punched her order into the cash register.

Erza smiled, "Well its really nice to be back to normal".

"Here's your coffee", Natsu gave her the cup, "so, I heard there's a team celebration tonight. Can Lucy and I join Team Erza?"

'Huh, I almost forgot about that' she thought. "Aren't you supposed to be working there? So even if we will not invite you, you will surely be there".

Natsu was surprised and remembered that he DOES work there, "heh you're right! so, see you later then?"

"See you!" Erza then went out the cafè and went to work. She greeted the security guards as she entered the building. Also with the receptionist as she logged in for work. She then deccude that she would check on the different departments before she goes to the office, just like what Mira usually does just to make sure that everything is gping smoothly. When she reached the office, she greeted levy before entering. Inside the office, she noticed a box on the table. She opened it, 'cheesecake?' she thought.

"I thought I would bring this to you since I was not able to buy you one as I promised", Erza was startled when Gray talked. She did not expect him to be there. "I uh, I bribed Levy to let me in here, and to act as normal as she can".

"Thank you Gray, but..."

"No Erza, that is for you, please dont give it back".

'How did he even know that I will reject it?' She just looked at him and nodded.

"I probably should start to work now, see you later". Gray left the room and went to his work station.

Erza was left not knowing if she should be happy or not, 'well this is cheesecake anyway...and this was supposed to be the best in Magnolia. What was I thinking trying to reject it!'

Mira and Laxus were enjoying their vacation. They went to the beach and decided to rent a jetski. Laxus was driving while Mira is holding him tightly from his back. After that they went for a massage at the spa. Then for dinner, they went to a traditional restaurant serving Bahamian food such Lobster, crabs, shellfish, and lots of fruits.

"It would be nice to live here", Mira whispered as she scanned the area while waiting for their food.

"Do you want us to settle here after we get married?" Laxus asked while grinning

'Did he say...married?!?' she exclaimed in her mind. She was blushing furiously and unable to respond immediately. "Married?" she finally had the guts to ask.

Laxus nodded, "well that is if you want to...if you want to marry me".

She blushed even more, "w-well...maybe? I dont know, you haven't asked me to marry you yet".

"I am askimg you now". He suddenly pulled out a small box from his pocket and put it on the table, "I was planning to do this before we go back, but I think this is already a perfect time". He stood up and knelt in front of Mira, "si Mirajane Strauss, will you be my wife?"

Mira was lost in her mind, she cant believe this is happening. "Laxus, I-I um..." she closed her eyes, thinking what she should say, "dont you think its too soon for us? You know, we started dating for like more that just a week?"

Laxus looked down and stood up. "You're right, I think I'm rushing things too much".

"Laxus..." Mira looked sadder.

"Hey cheer up!" Laxus suddenly exclaimed and showing off a fake smile, trying to hide his disappointment, "we are in the Bahamas, this is your dream vacation. We dont have the time to be gloomy".

Mira just nodded and smiled. She knew that Laxus was disappointed but decided to brush off the issue for now.

After having theor dinner, they went back to their hotel room. It was quite awkward, they were unusually quiet and unusually not being sweet to each other. Even when they slept, they are on the same bed but they were facing the opposite direction. :-(
