Looking at Youjin was always something you did in admiration. You adored everything about him, he was complete perfection. Sometimes it puzzled even you, the two of you had been friends for almost a year now and yet you still found it hard to speak to him. His handsome smile, his voice , his everything would run through your mind over and over again. You tried many times to get over him "No ___ you guys are just friends." but that wouldn't stop the pleasuring torture. Sometimes you'd think "Well maybe there is a chance, I'll tell him how I feel." And yet everytime you spoke to him you felt as if your words were whisked away by an unknown force, other time your mouth would go completely dry and you could say nothing. Heejun, a mutual friend of you and Youjin figured out your feeling for your friend the moment they began to blossom. "___-ah! Your so obvious!" He would laugh and Youjin's cluelessness, he thought that the whole situation was hilarious. But you just found it frustrating,but maybe things would change.
Today, that would all change, whether he felt the same you just had to get if off of your chest. Today you, Youjin and Heejun were supposed to meet up for a movie,but Heejun being the friend he is decided that he couldn't make it because he had a "cold". Heejun thought that it would be a good idea to leave the two of you alone, which was a huge mistake. Without Heejun there to calm your nerves you were bound to trip or say something completely idiotic. But no matter what happened you were determined to get through the day. But something in the back of your mind made you think otherwise. What if he said no, what if he doesn't like you. What if he doesn't like your dark brown skin and dark curly hair. What if he doesn't like you because of the fact that the two of you were just too different. You decided to play a song to hype yourself up and dispel the disturbing thoughts.
You put your playlist on shuffle when you hear the beginning melody to SWV's Weak. The song perfectly captured how you were feeling and it gave you reassuring hope. Looking at the time you realized that you were running late you grab your phone and head out to your destination. It was only a five-minute wait so you'd still get there a bit before the punctual Youjin. When you get to your agreed meeting area the song comes to an end "I get so weak in the knees, I can hardly speak I lose all control and something takes over me In a daze and it's so amazing It's not a phase, I want you to stay with me" You close your eyes and take a deep breath nothing would go wrong, everything was fine.
In less than five minutes you were approached by a smiling Youjin, his smile was so alluring that you felt heat rush to your cheeks. He greets you with a hug and you felt like you would slip away in his arms. But being the person you are you panic and hurriedly push away from being in his arms for that short time seemed to electrify every nerve in your body. Youjin went on cluelessly as if he didn't notice the awkward exchange. The only thing you wanted right now was to hurl yourself into his arms and stay that way. But you held back your urges. "___ ready to see this movie? I've been looking forward to it all week." You smile and nod "Yeah, I can't wait." You chose to keep the conversation to a minimum because you knew that you would mess it all up.

"The movie was better than I expected." you said, "I told you it would be great." replied a smiling Youjin. Everything went well and the walk back to your place was going even better, you were able to speak to him without sounding like a fool. You looked at him while he went on to say how much he had enjoyed the movie. You wished that you could have moments like this every day seeing him talk about things that excited him made you smile. You thought about your time in the movie, being brave you made a move and put your head on his shoulder and almost instantly he wrapped his arm around you. This was a normal exchange between you because the two of you were pretty close but being in that position stimulated your senses and left you with a feeling of warmth and protection.
Youjin caught you staring and you looked away quickly feeling embarrassed. Youjin softly nudged you and laughed "What?" you shook your head "Nothing your just really cute when..." Your eye widened as you just realized what you just said. "What?" Youjin looked at you with flushed cheeks and a confused expression. You internally face palm and quicken your pace to erase what just happened. Youjin caught up to you quickly "___ what did you just say?" You shook your head you wanted to tell him once you got back home and now you put your foot in your mouth "Nothing.". Maybe it was just your imagination but Youjin looked disappointed in your answer. You brush it off "It's nothing but a crush." you tell yourself "A silly little crush."
When the two of you make it to your front door Youjin is the first to break the silence "I had a good time today." You look at him and give him an awkward grimace "Yeah me too.". You turn around to open the door, you just wanted to crawl into a hole and vanish that was just so embarrassing how you just slipped like that. "By the way, I think your cute too." You freeze and turn around slowly. In an instant, you felt a rush of emotions, joy, excitment and confusion all into one. Youjin just smiled at you "Especially when you're caught off guard." He leaned forward and kissed you, without hesitation, you kiss him back. Here you were making out with your best friend on your doorstep, you pull away slowly and out of breath. Both of your faces flushed you take a few seconds to collect yourself from the savory taste of Youjin's lips. This wasn't how you planned the night but it was perfect. His lips were like pure extasy you were the first to find your voice "So um goodnight. I'll call you." Youjin walked away with a triumphant expression "I'll look forward to it." He walked away with a smirk.
~So I hope you guys like this one it is lengthier than my other KNK pieces. This one took some time but I was listening to throwbacks while writing this which is why it has the current title. I hope you guys liked it.
