Prologue

Three Years Ago

"Oh my God your so fucking annoying" I groaned while storming away from the asshat.

"What the hell are you on about?! I just got here," he said annoyed while he walked into my house.

"Exactly! Your mere presence is fucking annoying".

"Crazy bitch", he mumbled.

I glared at him over my shoulder before continuing on to the kitchen.

I came in to see my brother and my best friend making out. Rolling my eyes I ignored them and went to search in the fridge for my protein shake.

"Bree!" Chels squealed in surprise as she jumped off the counter when I closed the fridge door.

I smirked as I leaned against it sipping my shake with my arms crossed against my chest.

"Nice to know you still remember me."

I teased causing her to blush at my comment.

Before she could say something she was interrupted by Michael's annoying friend and unfortunately future Alpha of our pack.

"Michael I'm not coming in to school today so I need you to deal with some of the paperwork I planned with the principle. My Alpha trainings starting next week so I won't be here for quite some time. Is that algood?"

If you didn't already guess we are werewolves. Nic here is the Alpha. My brother being the beta is obligated to fulfill the Alpha duties while he's away. Its normal for Alphas around the world to leave their pack for Alpha training so it was nothing new. He would probably be gone for a couple years then come back to finish his senior year with their pack and home town.

A smile formed on my face at the thought of Dominic not being here to ruin my life. He has been a huge pain in my ass ever since we were young. Now I finally get some space with him going away. I did a mental victory dance in my head as I grinned at nothing in particular.

"Why are you smiling?"

"Cause I'm finally going to be free from you", I said as I smirked at him.

I narrowed my eyes when he smirked back at me and started making his way towards me.

"One more step Steel and I will personally castrate you" I warned.

My eyes following his every move.

He stopped in front of me, placing his arms on either side of my body caging me in. I glared up at him as his features held amusement. He bent his head down so his breath tingled my ear as he breathed.

"I know you of all people is gonna miss me baby..." he whispered.

I shivered at our close proximity feeling tingles going straight up my spine.

I knew he was teasing me. He always did, which always seemed to piss me off when I got flustered.

I scoffed and pushed at his chest with no success in making him move, which made me huff in annoyance.

"Go away and leave me in peace Nic. What makes you think you can invade my personal space," I said irritated with his body so damn close.

He chuckled lowly under his breath before sighing.

"I'm gonna miss you my little spitfire".

I frowned unsure of why he would miss me. I insult him 24/7 so him missing me just didn't make sense. Before I could say anything he sighed again before pulling away from me and turning towards Michael and Chelsea, who were staring at us curiously.

I just shrugged not knowing what that was myself. Nic walked up and gave Michael a bro hug and also Chelsea a little hug too before turning to me and winking.

"Gotta go guys. See you all in a few years," he said with a chuckle before saluting us and leaving my house.

That was the last time I saw him...
