Car's POV
I sat in my room listening to the agents talk in the other room I have been in this safe house for five weeks now. I've only been able to get a few hours of sleep every night and I miss my family but I know that I have to keep them safe. I want to go back home and go back to my life. This has been going on for five years. It started when I was seventeen. I'm 22 now and just want to go to college and live a normal life. Not a life where I am running around scared. Why did this have to happen? I layed back on my bed and closed my eyes. I have so many emotions bottled up right now and I can feel the breakdown coming. I'm done. I'm not hiding anymore. If he wants me that bad he can come after me. My agents will be ready they'll have to be. As the plan formed in my mind I stood up and walked out of my room to search for the five agents that are my security team. I walked into the living room and they were sitting around the coffee table with files spread out.
"I'm done." I said standing behind them.
"What do you mean your done?" David, the lead agent, asked.
"Exactly what I said. Im done. Pack it up now we're leaving. I can't take this place anymore. If he wants me let him get me."
"You have got to be kidding me. We aren't leaving. It's not safe for you out there."
"I don't care about safe anymore. I'm so tried of leaving my life closed-off and in hiding. I want my life back. I want to be the care-free girl I was five years ago."
"Car, you really need to think this over. Does your dad and brother know your plan? Would they be okay for this? You know they won't let this happen. Just let us protect you."
"You know what? I really don't care what my Dad and brother think. It's my life and I'm tired of everyone making the decisions for me. I'm doing what I want now."
"Car, look listen--" gun shots erupted around the room. David tackled me to the ground. My ears are ringing and I don't know what's happening. I here a lot of yelling but I don't know what is going on. The last thing I hear is sirens as I black out.
