~Aurora~ The day of his arrival.
The mysterious Lord had entered my office, claiming who he was with his name...And his face...It was all too close to the man I knew 3 centuries ago...
But he was dead... At least, that's what I discovered then...It's impossible. How can one rise from the dead?
After our little conversation, I slowly sat down in my seat, eyeing this....Lord Orpheus.
Could it really be...
It was 300 years ago since I saw Orpheus. 300 years ago that I learned of his death... I saw his corpse 300 years ago lying on the ground of the battlefield. 300 years ago I buried him beside that tree next to the cave.
My thoughts had come to a pause when he had asked a question.
"Tell me, what is this bargain that you were looking for, my lady?"
Even his voice was similar... though his eyes were different...more menacing and their color...
I kept my hood low, still wanting to gain more assurance that this truly was Orpheus..
"My thoughts on after the battle of minds, our little bargain would be that if I win, you give me claim to some of your men but I will offer alliance with you. You see, through these many years I've been on this earth, there is an enemy in which I would enjoy of ridding of and I am in need of a higher power and I most certainly do not wish to have any more enemies than the one I have now."
Lord Orpheus had leaned his elbows on the edge of the desk as if more interested in the discussion, noting the 'one enemy'.
"And might I ask what enemy this might be?"
His voice was low and smooth...powerful just as mine.
"They're called the Galican. An army of humans and vampires together that have helped with putting the humans on the top of the food chain."
I explained and Lord Orpheus' eyes seemed to shift.
"The Galican... yes.. I share the same enemy. I will think over your bargain. I am in need of a powerful ally as well, but asking for my men as well is a lot to ask for, my lady. How about this; If I win, you join my clan beside me. After all, you are a lone wanderer. You have the connections and treaties with others that would be most helpful to me."
I thought over his bargain. His too, was quite a bit to ask for, but either way, neither of them would really be penalized for their loss.
"Alright, my lord. You have yourself a deal. If it comes to a draw, we can discuss it afterwards, yes?"
He gave a nod
"As you wish, my lady. I hope you do not disappoint me. Where shall the destination of our battle be?"
I thought for a moment. If it truly was him, perhaps taking him to the cave would give me more assurance?
"The cave in the mountain inside the forest. Its fairly visible to the east from here. And do not worry. I stand with my bargains, win or lose. I am no shallow opponent."
Lord Orpheus gave a small smirk.
"I then look forward to doing business with you. Meet me there tomorrow."
With that, he stood and turned to the door, beginning to walk out of my office. My orange gaze followed him out...thinking...
If it really was him.... How would I be able to explain the battle from 3 centuries ago?....
