Maya's POV
We got to breakfast and after siting for a little the waiter come over to take our orders I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and orange juice when the waiter came back with our food I asked
"So what did you want to talk to me about"
"Well you know that I'm really fond of you, Maya" Shawn says
"Yeah" I says nodding my head
"And I did say that you needed a family"
"Yeah"
"And I got a good job I'm New York"
"Ok"
"And I'm moving into a apartment in a couple of weeks"
"And?"
"So why don't you come to live with me"
"You do know that you would have to adopt me, Shawn"
"Yeah, Maya that's what he's saying" Riley chimes in
"You want to adopt me"
"Maya your going to be 18 in a year which means I will only be your legal guardian for a year" Shawn says
"So what's the point"
"Maya, i don't care about you being an adult in a year but even after you turn 18 you are still going to need a place to call home and you still have senior year so you can live with me until your ready to live alone"
"Ok, you seem to have this all planed out"
"It's all up to you, Maya"
"No, I want to, the problem is I'm not sure you know what your signing up for, do really want to throw away your life for a troubled teenage girl?" I say then he grabs my hand across the table and says
"Yes" he looks me in the eye while saying
"Ok, so what's next?"
"We are going to finish our breakfast" We finish our breakfast while smiling and laughing
