Awwww omg
-Things got back to normal very quickly. Gotham welcomed them, rather the Joker made his presence known by blowing up the train station. Was it empty? They hoped not.
Harley was happy to know he and his team were still residing in some warehouse between mines. It was dangerous, hell the radiation was deadly. But nothing a threatened professor and some chemical nerd couldn't help them with. So while making their way to the entrance, he had to hold his handkerchief against her mouth and nose. Once inside the place, she truly felt like she was home. Sure the outside was filthy and not the best place to be. But the interior was adjusted to his and Harley's likings.
With her pets in a large cage in the corner, viciously threatening all who passed by. But this was just the workplace. Where he and Frost would tell the goons what had to be done and how it had to be done. Harley didn't care for this area, they never let her take place anyway, saying it was too risky or she wouldn't be able to do it right. She managed to tag along anyway, which usually resulted in having to take action once there and move the plans around.
"My babies!" She yelled, letting go of the Joker's hand to run to the cage. Jonny held her back at the boss's orders.
"Harley, you have to get that radiation off you first." She groaned, walking back to him. They had to walk over a metal plate that sprinkled hot water. Not enough to soak or scald them, just with enough chemicals to take it off. As if they both needed more chemicals on their body's.
"This stuff is itchy."
"That itchy stuff will prevent disfiguration in your body, pumpkin, be nicer." The Joker had a habit of 'growling', and this one came from the depths of his throat.
Once their cleansing was finished, Harley was about to pull his hand with her to the cage again, but he spoke out first. "I have a few things to do, tell someone to bring you to me once you're done with your... pets." He pinched her cheek and walked off.
"Thank you!" Harley yelled again, this time because he had kept care of her animals. But what would he have to do for today? He couldn't be planning an assault or anything because today's stunt was big enough to have people searching under rocks for them, so what was goin' on?
Harley realized, she was homesick. That steel table back at the looney farm is nothing on this burgundy leather couch. And here she had her real rhythmics, the ropes she could climb all day and still feel like she was flying. Her heart swarmed with the fact that J idolized her enough to keep maintenance on her precious belongings. Now all she had to do was drink grape soda from an ice cold glass and lay on a bear skin rug. With Puddin' of course.
"Jonny!" She yelled, skipping through the time variety on the once cold and stale floors. It was funny to the goons, seeing the boss' number one girl in a prison uniform. She looked weird without all the bling and the revealing clothes. Nevertheless she was untouchable, no man's land.
"Quinn?" He nods at her, looking from the television to her.
"I need to go see him, take me." There was the whining and bossing around Jonny certainly didn't sign up for.
"Why don't you go? It's not hard to find the door that says Joker." It as true, there were many hallways but the golden door always stood out. Besides, the film in the tv was too good.
"He told me to ask someone to take me, now hurry. Don't make me mad on my first day." Didn't he understand she was impatient to have mistah j all to herself already?
So Jonny sighed but stood and lead the way. And suddenly, he remembered Joker's words, "when Harley's ready , take her to our room. Not the office."
One could only imagine what the neglected couple would be up to. Not being 'together' for that long sparked tension in the warehouse. The boss was always mad and even crazier than before. He wanted Gotham to mourn the loss of their citizens like he mourned the loss of Harley's touch and affection. But that was over now, now he could terrorize the city with her by his side. Not as a cry of loneliness and want for his queen.
Jonny stopped at the black door with yellow spray painting all over it. "What happened to the door I painted for my puddin' and I?" It looked as if they wanted Harley mad.
"The batmobile took it down when he found the old place." He shrugged, walking back in the way he came in.
"Stupid bats." Harley scoffed, opening the heavy door and leaving an annoyed Jonny behind it.
Joker was nowhere to be found, not on the bed, not on one of the many couches and not on the chair in front of a table covered by guns and knives. A huge box labeled 'Harley's things' struck her curiosity, but a door opening and steam flowing into the room was much more worthy of her eyes. There came out the man of the year, he had obviously been in the shower, the fluffy purple robe and slightly wet hair were evidence.
"Harley." He chimed somewhat happily once his gaze fell on her. She stood to her slipper clad feet, practically jumping on him. His arms were quick to go around her torso, holding her against him as tightly as she. "God I missed you." And he did. He missed everything. From the feel of her hair on his cheeks to the blue of her eyes. He even missed that one meal that she swore was her forte in cooking but really, it tasted like shit. For a reason he always ate it though, forcing smiles and compliments.
"I missed you more." She nods her head. Joker puts her down, keeping his hands on her waist and hers go to the bare and cold skin under the robe, feeling it as if it was the first time.
"Missed these too." He uses his thumb to fiddle with her bottom lip until he can't hold it anymore and eventually leans down to connect his with hers.
