fav Harley tbh
-Hands roamed, mouths moaned and clothes were thrown. He was as he always was in bed, rough and demanding. Harley wanted to think it was because she's been gone too long and J hasn't had a release in ages, not counting his hands. Yet again that's what Harley wanted to think, because she still believed in loyalty and fidelity among two lovers.
So now they lay together on the too big bed, wrapped in the cold sheets. Her eyes were already droopy, and although Joker was dying for her to take a shower, just so she could smell like watermelon again, he knew she was tired so he let her be with her head on his chest.
"Hey, Harls?" He wandered out loud.
"Mhm?" She grunted against his skin.
"What was with the little gang the government put you in?" He was truly curious. A group of evil people, not more than him of course, out on the streets to save mankind? That wasn't normal.
"We didn't have a choice. It was do as we say or I blow your heads off. I heard Flag say something about how it was easier to blame us then the people in charge if something goes wrong. By the way what's gonna happen to that thing in-" Harley twists her arm to touch the back of her neck, looking up at him.
"I've arranged for that to be removed tomorrow. I'll warn ya, its going to hurt. Back to the point, sweets, who were they?" He asks, ignoring her blush at the pet name.
"My friends. And one of them died!" Of course she would get emotional, Joker thought. That was the thing with Harley, she was real quick to get attached to people and things.
"Sh, it's alright he's in heaven. The one I'm curious about though, the one that made all that mess in the sky, who's that one?" Harley rolled her eyes at his lack of sympathy for her fallen friend.
"Some crazy bitch who wanted to rule the world or whatever. Nothing new- hey did you know I ripped her heart out!?" She yelled in excitement, sitting up to look at him. His lips weren't so dark now, just a deep rosy shade.
"You did? Wow that's great, get some sleep now." Yes, he was thriled that she was here now, in the safety of his presence where he would make sure she couldn't leave again. But he needed more information on this thing going on, and if Harley was awake during his search it would go all that successful.
"Fine, 'm tired anyways. Oh, I said to myself I would ask this when I saw you. The day the bat got me, why'd you leave me there alone?" She yawns, not paying much attention to the tensing muscles on Joker's chest.
"I uh, well you see, honey.."
"You didn't wanna get rid of me, did ya puddin'?" He would learn to grow accustomed to the pet name again.
"No no no, but if we were both locked in, how were we gonna get out?" It was reasonable enough for Harley to believe it. But really, if the Joker got put away, his henchmen would be sure to have him out the next day.
"Oh my god, that's right. You're so smart, mistah j." She whined happily. It didn't take long after that for her to fall asleep.
J decided not to get up. She looked comfortable enough with her body half on his, and after months of her being away, the last thing he wanted was to disturb her peacefulness.

The morning came by too quick. And surprisingly, the Joker was a morning person. So the moment light hit his eyelids, he was up against the headboard with a newspaper in his hands. Harley still sleeping like a baby beside him, partly naked due to the sheet only coming to her waist. He was debating wether to wake her or not, not knowing when was the last time she had a decent breakfast, but before he decided on something, the door of their room was knocked upon.
"Boss? You up?" Frost yelled pretty loudly. Did he not respect the fact that Harley's sleeping? Her needs are just as important as mine, he thought, inching his fingers to the hem of the sheet and pulling it to her chin. He couldn't have any other man staring at things meant for his eyes only.
"Come in." He replied, annoyed and bored. "And next time keep it low, she's trynna' sleep." The green haired man nods at the girl beside him, his eyes still on the jokes section of the paper.
Frost rolled her eyes, boss always wanted Harley treated like a queen. Which meant his workers were her servants, therefore they had to do all in her benefit. "Got some news for ya." Jonny didn't even attempt to talk in a quieter tone, which made Harley stir in her place and throw herself the other way, yet again burrying her body into Joker's side.
"Make him leave." She grumbled, shivering when the tips of his cold fingers grazed her back, again, covering her skin and shielding it from Jonny's eyes.
"You heard her..." he whistled lowly, hinting his want for them to be alone again.
"Something went on in that crazy farm your girl was in." Harley huffed, wanting to throw a heel at him.
"Hey! Keep it goin' Jonny and I just might get that crowbar and-"
"Let's... take a chill, as the kids say, Harley. Let's just take a chill." The Joker warned, slipping his tattooed hand over her mouth.
"Crowbar." Jonny mutters confusedly under his breath. "Anyway, that Griggs guy from the club. Called last night, the next time the Harley Quinn is captured, the order is to shoot at first sight."
"What!?" Joker yelled. This was too much of a risk. He could protect her, but this meant her days would be limited. No going out if it wasn't necessary, no more rendezvous to blow up the police department. He liked danger and so did she, but putting her at a gunpoint situation? He wasn't that petty.
"They can't do that! I'm a person and I got me my rights."
"Listen little boss, how many times have you escaped Arkham?" Jonny sighed. How did they get away with so much shit if they were just two twats?
"Well a lot. And don't mention Arkham, its not a good place for me. Besides why they wanna kill me? I saved the world." Harley exclaimed, still standing her place when she said the world has done nothing good for people like her.
"And just like that you could kill half of it. A danger to society, they named the Joker's mob on the universal news. Sure the police department here in Gotham is as invisible as a unicorn, but that doesn't stop the government, homeland security, the United nations and everyone else from trying to bring us down."
"Puddin' I ain't gonna die, right?" She looked at him quickly , Jonny's use of big words freightened her.
"Not while you're with me. Leave us, Jonny boy." Harley had never asked, but she was sure her lover was younger than Frost. The Joker's right hand man left, leaving him with a frazzle-minded Harley and a whirling of ideas inside his own head. "We should go shower. Go ahead I'll just tell Jonny to start breakfast for us." He not so subtly kissed Harley's lips, trying to get out of the bed before she pulled him back.
"So we ain't doin' nothin' about this?" She asked is bewilderment. The Joker always wondered where her Brooklyn accent came from. Back in their patient and doctor days, her voice was as smooth and silky like honey. Not that it bothered him, though. He liked to pester her for the way she said certain words.
"You? No. I am. Don't forget who's in charge, Ms. Quinn." He smiled wickedly and got up to leave the room.
It was funny, how J thought he was still in complete control of Harley. He thought she was going to come back to being the same obedient pet she always was with him. Sure she still loved him like nothing else, she would kill, die, live and do just about anything for him. But she wasn't the same. When he left her on that night for
her to drown and get caught. Something in her mind snapped. A peice of the blindfold fell and she started realizing what she was capable of and what she was worth. She just saved the world for hells sake, she deserved some goddamn respect from everyone. Even her good ol' puddin'.
