"How are you related to that person?"
"Umm, he's my friend." I answered.
"Oh, we are very sorry to inform you that he's no more." Doctor said.
Tears roll down my from eyes. I sat in front of his room. My phone rang, it was Shanya.
"Where are you?" She said.
"City hospital."
"What are you doing there?"
"I'll explain that later, you tell me what happened?"
"Wait for me, I'll be there in asap."
Before I could say anything she disconnected the call.
In next 10mins she was there.
"What are you doing here?" She asked me.
I wasn't able to answer her. I was quite.
"I know, Virat is the reason why you're here.
He told me about all this 5 days back and asked not to tell you until you get to know about him."
"Fine." I replied.
She gave me an envelope.
"What is this now?"
"Open it. You'll get to know yourself."
It had a very beautiful ring and a note.
The note said,
"Hi Amaya,
Firstly, forgive me for all what I did to you. I never had any bad intension but the situations left me with nothing other than this. I'm sorry. And trust me, you meant the world to me. You completed me. I love you. You'll always acquire the most special place in my heart. If possible please forgive me. I just wanted you to hate me so that you could easily forget me and not disturb your life because of me. But I was wrong, I couldn't build up that hatred in you."
Yours Virat."
I was speechless. All I did was to curse myself for doubting a person like him. My brain couldn't comprehend any other word that could describe my love for him. I went outside his room, just looking at him calmed my heart and made it beat rapidly at the same time. He'll always stay in my heart and his memories will stay alive in me no matter what. And yes he loved me. He couldn't keep his promise but that too because of those situations. We were not meant to be together in this world but maybe in the parallel universe.
