When Sebastian found her, Dotty was wrapped up in her bed, sobbing. She had texted him, begging him to come over; it was impossible for him to say no. "Dot?" His voice was unthinkably soft and it made Dotty cry even harder. If only he knew, she thought. Dotty didn't know why she texted him. She shouldn't have. Her bed sank a little lower and Sebastian's hand rested on her shoulder, rubbing it gently. "C'mon up," Sebastian mumbled as he lifted Dotty to rest on him. She instantly fell into him, arms wrapping around his neck and digging her face into his shoulder. Seb froze up for a moment, not expecting her to give in so quickly, be he recovered a split second later and pulled her closer to him. He rubbed Dotty's back gently and stroked her hair, letting her cry. Seb didn't know what to say, he didn't trust his mouth around her half the time, Dotty was just too good. For him. For Trish. For this world.

He remembered how carefree she was at the rehearsal dance and smiled softly, humming "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You." Sebastian remembered every twist and turn and spin from that night and how right it felt. From being the reason she was laughing and smiling and giggling to the way she felt under his hands, and he was 99.9% how unfathomably in love Sebastian was with Dotty was more than evident that night.

Dotty's breath hitched in her throat when Sebastian had started humming, but her crying covered it up. It hit her very suddenly that in her desperate plea for help, she had texted her cheating sister's fiancé, and here he was hugging her and letting her cry. But she couldn't care less. After what that trash bag of a sister did to her, to Sebastian, she couldn't care less. Not remotely.

So, they sat there, Sebastian holding Dotty so close to him, to where he could smell the coconut shampoo in her hair, humming a song that meant more than Dotty realized.

When Dotty couldn't  cry anymore, Sebastian slowly moved Dotty's head from his shoulder that was now stained with her tears and makeup. He held her face between his hands and stroked her cheek gently. "Dot, what happened?"

"Just a bad day," Dotty croaked, not meeting his eyes. "Just the whole reminder of Andrew." His name made Dotty cringe and want to cry again, giving away the fact that it was much more than just Andrew.

It pained Sebastian to see her like this, to see her in a point where she didn't trust him with all the details. It pained Sebastian to see Dotty hurt so much and feel like he could do nothing. "Dotty," Sebastian's voice was so soft again and pain leaked through, even though Sebastian tried to hide it, "there's more to it. You can tell me, you know that."

Green eyes peered up through long lashes into blue ones. Sebastian's heart broke looking at Dotty, but he held on, he waited. She needed a friend and he would be that for her. That's all I'll be: a friend, Sebastian thought at that moment and hated himself for being so selfish.

Dotty didn't know why she wasn't telling Sebastian everything. Maybe it was because Dotty still though Sebastian was hopelessly in love with her sister, that her sister made Sebastian happy. And that's all she ever wanted for Sebastian.

She got up and said, "It's nothing, Seb. Just me being stupid." Dotty went it walk away, but Sebastian grabbed her wrist, stopping her. He stood and slide his hand into her's going to stand in front of her. Sebastian tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and left his hand there a second too long, before dropping it to Dotty's other hand.

"You're strong Dotty. It can't be nothing and it can't be stupid if it affected you this much."

Dotty hesitated to look at Sebastian; she was afraid of what she was going to see.

When Dotty looked up, all she saw was patience and adoration and so much love it hurt. All Dotty ever wanted was for Sebastian Stan to notice her, to look at her the way he looked at Trish, and now she had that. Now she knew what it felt like to be in love and know she were loved back. She felt overwhelmed and scared and slightly nervous that she misread everything she just saw, but Dotty simply swallowed her fears, looked Sebastian in his incredibly blue eyes that still made her weak in the knees and said, "Please do not hate me for this. I only wanted you to be happy." Sebastian nodded. He wanted to tell Dotty how much she made him happy and how he could never hate her, but kept quiet. He let Dotty continue. He let her take her time.

And slowly, she told him everything.
