A/N: It will be explained in chapter seven why they don't look alike.

I was woken up this morning by a loud pounding on my door "Lauren get up" the voice of my mother shouted for the other side of my door. An annoyed groan left my mouth as I slowly got out of bed "Dinah, sweetheart it's time to wake up" I cooed softly as I ran my fingers through her hair. Dinah mumbles something but eventually get out of bed.

After getting ready for the day Dinah and I heading downstairs and was met by my mom "Lauren, who's this" my mother asked, eyeing Dinah up and down "mom this is my friend Dinah. She spent the night last night" I told her. My mother smile softly as she held her hand out for Dinah "I'm April, Lauren's mother. It's really nice to meet you Dinah." Dinah nods slowly "you too Ms. Jauregui" she says. I stood there awkwardly as I watched the interaction between my mother and Dinah.

After that awkward interaction I left with Dinah right behind me "wow your mom is...something" she chuckles awkwardly. I nodded "yeah she usually isn't used to me having anyone here except for Camila. So this is new for her" I said with an uncomfortable chuckle. Dinah shakes her head and smiles at me "you know what? Let's forget about all this awkward tension and head over to the beach" she suggests. I smiled "that sounds like a great idea!"

We arrived at the beach and Dinah immediately ran towards the water. I laughed at her as I followed behind her "Lauren come join me!" I giggled as I put my things down and quickly got in the water with Dinah, who was having the time of her life "have you never been to the beach before?" Dinah shakes her head "no. Where I lived there was no beach so I had no way of going to one" she answered shyly "well I'm glad I was able to be the first one to take you to the beach" I said giggling. Dinah smiles "I'm glad too" she agrees.

I walked over to Dinah and smiled as I put a Lilly in her hair "aw D you look so beautiful" I complimented. Her cheeks turned red "thank you Lauren" she mumbles cutely. I smiled and hugged her tightly. I'm definitely falling for Dinah Jane and I think I'm ready to tell.

We sat in the sand as we watch the sun go down, "Dinah can you maybe if you wanted to explain to me what happened between you and your parents" I asked timidly. Dinah grins slightly and nods her head.

She inhales deeply "well it happened three weeks ago. For the past few days I couldn't sleep or eat because I had this feeling in the pit of my stomach, it hurt and it was making me sick. I have been lying to my parents about who I am and I couldn't take it anymore. I needed to tell them that I was gay." She released a shaky breath "on Tuesday I told my parents that I wanted to talk to them. They agreed. After taking several deep breaths I finally told them that I was gay. They were not happy." She frowns "they told me that I was a disgrace and a disappointment. They hated the fact that their baby girl was gay. They hated the fact that I won't be marrying a man. They gave me an ultimatum; to either live with them and date the neighbor's son Sipoe and pretend to be someone I an not or continue to be gay and leave their house." I wiped away a stray tear that ran down her face "I choose the second option obviously because I could not live with myself if I hid who I really was. They agreed and that was the last time I spoke to them. They didn't even say goodbye to me" she cried.

My heart ached when she broke down. I scooted over and hugged her tightly. I don't understand how anyone could want to disown this beautiful, kind, sweet girl who did not deserve to be treated like that, "oh Dinah please don't cry. If they cannot see how amazing you are then that's their loss" I told her. Dinah wiped her eyes and smiled up at me "thank you Lauren. I really needed to hear that" she says as she kissed my cheek. My cheeks heated up "oh it's n-no problem Dinah" I said quickly. She giggles and stands up "come let's go. I need to get more clothes." I nod and intertwined my fingers with her.

We arrived at the Cabello's house. I parked the car and turned off the ignition before walking up to the front door. Dinah unlocks the door "you can wait here. I'll be right back." I nodded as I sat down on the couch. I pulled out my phone and decided to go on Tumblr.

"Lauren?"

I jumped at the sound of her voice. I looked up and saw Camila standing there with Zendaya and Arianna "what are you doing?" I rolled my eyes as I focused back on my phone "I'm only here so Dinah can get a change of clothes" I said a lot more harshly than I intended to. Camila sighs "so you're not here for our annual movie not" she asked. I scuffed "nope. Plus it looks like you already have plans" I said, motioning towards Zendaya and Arianna. Before she could say anything Dinah comes down "hey Lauren are you..." She trails off when she sees Camila "hey Camila" she greets kindly.

Camila and her bimbos smirk at Dinah "hey Dinah we have something for you" she says. Dinah rolls her eyes "keep it because I'm pretty sure I'm not going to want it" she said harshly "come on Lauser." I put my phone away and walked towards Dinah.

Everything happened in slow motion. One minute Dinah is standing by the door and the next minute Zendaya is pouring syrup on her head and shoving her to the ground. My blood boil as I stormed over to them and shoved Zendaya back hard "what the fuck is wrong with you" I yelled "do you all get a kick out of humiliating her?" I asked angrily. I turned to Camila "and you! How can you just sit back and watch as those to bimbos humiliate your cousin? How are you ok with this?"

Camila just huffs "so what if she's my cousin I don't fucking like her! She's nothing but a disgrace to this family" she spat.

I looked at Camila with such anger in my eyes but it soon turned into disappointment "it's really sad that you'll choose those two bitches over you own blood. That's low Camila. Even for you." I shook my head "come on DJ let's go" I said as I helped her up. Before I left I turned to Camila "I really hope popularity was worth it because you just lost your best friend." With that said I left her house. I can't believe our friendship is over.

"Lauren are you ok" Dinah asked.

I nodded "I will be. It's just going to take some time to get used to the fact that Camila and I are not friends anymore. You know?" Dinah nods "well if you ever need anyone to talk to I'm here for you." I kissed her cheek "thank you Dinah. I really appreciate it" I said "no problem LoLo!" I giggled as I pulled out of the drive way and drove home.
