Chapter Fourteen

Chapter 14

POV- Willow

I clear all the tissues and sad Leo Dicaprio movies. I'm in a much better mood. Junny's mom, my manager, texted me a couple minutes ago. She called for an emergency meeting to discuss my career. I go to the bathroom to get ready. One look in the mirror had me cringing. My eyes were puffy and red from tears, my clothes wrinkled, my nose rosy. And I don't have to sniff to know I reek. I hop into the shower, welcoming the warm water. When I come out I feel freshly rejuvenated. I pull on a tank top, and some leopard print super skinny jeans, and gold sneakers. I know it's weird, but it's me. And I like it. I'm doing this for people out there like me. Those who don't fit in. So I have to be myself, even if it doesn't fit in.

I head downstairs. On the way, I notice Jones walking down the stairs as well.

" um, hey. What are you doing here?" I smile.

I don't see her much, but I know she might be nursing Jaden soon if things go the way mom wants them to. Dad isn't happy with the idea. He wants jaden to go to a normal school and not have the guidance of a counselor at all.

" oh I was hanging out with Jaden for a while. He's asleep now though. " she says.

" oh." I say, vaguely surprised.

She continues out. I leave as well, not giving it a second thought. I walk, because I don't have a license, and I know better than to wake Jae from his nap early. Although he won't say it to me, it pisses him off. I take the back way to Junny's house. I'm not going to see Junny though. I need to see Ms. Marti for that meeting.

I come up to the door of their house and unlock it. Yes, I have a house key. I walk down the hall to get to the study, where we always have our meetings. The house is a decent size. A four bed four bath with a study and theater. It's not as big as our house, but they could easily afford one as big. They just would rather not have too much space.

" Willow!!!" a small voice calls at me. I smile.

" hey Xan!" I hug him.

Xan, short for Xander is Junny's adopted brother. He is adorable. He's got messy blonde hair that's never combed, cool blue eyes, and tan skin. I used to babysit him all the time, so we are pretty close.

" what are you doing here? Are we going somewhere special? Or are you here for Junny? She's not here right now. She's with Roc. " he says.

" actually I'm here to see your mommy." I say, laughing at his rant.

" oh. She's in the study. Come on." he grabs my hand to drag me to the study.

We get there. Ms. Marti is sitting ominously in her chair. Junny sits next to her, face void of any emotion. I have a feeling my good day is about to be massacred.

POV- Jaden

I awake to find the bed empty. Jones is already gone. I sigh and crawl out of bed. I groan in disgust at my wrinkled clothes and change. My watch beeps and I remember: I promised Samya I'd be back. Besides, I have questions for her. I decide to drive. I don't go many places beyond the woods and fields and the lake. The woods are about 60 acres. It conceals Samya, Junny, and Jones' house. Ours is right outside the woods on the edge of the fields. The lake is directly in front of our house.

I pull up in Samyas driveway. I just walk into the house. They never lock their doors.

" Jaden!" Samya greets me with a hug.

" hi." I hug her back.

" you came back." she looked genuinely surprised, but happy.

" I promised I would." I say

" mhm. Your dressed up. Are we going somewhere?" she asks.

" oh. I uh, yeah. Im gonna take you somewhere." I say.

" oh. Then I gotta go change." she says.

" you don't have to. It's a private place. No ones gonna see you but me." I shrug. She nods.

" well I'm changing anyway." she runs upstairs.

I sigh. Girls.

She comes down wearing a white dress that stopped about mid thigh, and her hair down. The white on her cinnamon brown skin made her seem almost angelic.She looked really pretty. It made me think. What kind of dress will Jones wear on our wedding day? Shed be gorgeous in anything, but I'm curious. What will it feel like when I tell her I love her, and she tells me she loves me too, because she does of course.

" Are you ready?" I ask.

" mhm. Let's go" she says, grabbing my arm.

We drive to the place. I park the car at the side of the pavilion. It's a place I found about a year ago. A bridge crosses over a muddy creek. On the other side is a huge field of purple flowers. It's breathtaking! The bridge is concealed, as is the rest of the field, by thick shrubbery. I found it on accident actually, while rampaging through the woods after a meltdown.

But that isn't where I'm taking Samya. I've reserved that place for Jones when we confess our love to each other one day soon. I'm taking Samya to the pavilion about a half a mile south of the bridge. Here we can see the lake and things because we're uphill.

I take out a tub of vanilla ice cream and toppings. I prefer my ice cream plain, but I know she prefers all the crazy stuff on top. It's later in the evening. It's still light out, but stars are beginning to speck the sky.

" Thanks for coming back Jae." she says, turning to look at me.

" of course. I promised. I don't break promises." I say.

" is that the only reason you came back jaden?" she asks quietly, looking slightly hurt.

" I, I... " I trip over my words.

It's so hard to focus. Shes now hovering over me on her hands and knees. That warm feeling is coming back, but I don't wanna feel it. I am in love with Jones. I hate that I like this. She traces a finger across my lips.

Oh God help me.

I scoot back some. The inside part of my brain is freaking out and rising in panic. The outside was frozen in place. Slightly curious and slightly enjoying this. That is until she kisses me.
