It was spring break and me and my best friend Maggie are going to California. It's our first time and it's just gonna be use and our friend Austin. He's gay, we told us last night. We all go to NYU. I've known Maggie for 15 years (since I was 5) and Austin for 2 years. I'm 20 and a sophomore in college.
I was packing the last things I would need for the trip when I got s call.
"Hello"
" Aurora, I just looked at the tickets and it says we leave for tonight not tomorrow!"
" What! Maggie, how do you even misread that?"
" I don't know but we need to leave at 10:30. I already told Austin."
" 10:30! It already 9."
" You're almost done packing, right?"
" Yes, but I still need to eat and get dressed."
" Just wear leggings and an oversized sweater. We're just going on a plane."
" okay. I'll text you when I'm on my way to your dorm."
"Okay, bye."
"Bye."
I quickly finished packing and walked down to my car. By the time I got in the car it was 10:00. I decided to get all of us some Starbucks and breakfast burritos. Since it was 10:00 a.m on a Sunday, it take very long to get them. On my way back to the dorms I texted Maggie and Austin. I told them I have to get my bag then I would go get them and to be ready when I get there.
I quickly run up to my dorm and got my bags and threw them in the trunk. As I pulled up to Maggie dorm I got a text from Austin saying they were both at his dorm. So I quickly drove over there and they were both waiting outside. They ran up to my car and I popped the truck and they threw their stuff in and got inside the car. I handed them their burritos and coffee and drove off to the airport.
When we arrived it was 11:00 and our flight leaves at 11:20. We all scramble to get our stuff and started running.
After they checked our bags and us we ran to board the plane. We made it by 2 minutes. We all let out a sigh of relief. We got 2nd class tickets and sits in the back of the plane. After a few minutes after we sit down, we all asleep.
