The Mistake

The show

It's after and cause Michael, Luke and Calum invited you to their band's gig you're hanging out with them so they can take you to the gig. " y/n I'm glad you could come to the gig" Michael said. " of course I would come I wouldn't miss it " you say. "We're going to practice a little bit while we wait for the drummer to show up" Calum says " why don't you want me to know his name? " you ask them. " well it's a surprise " luke says " it's because we don't know if it's permanent or not " Michael says. " whatev..." You say but stop cause you see Ashton " what's wrong why did you stop talking?" Calum asked. " oh look the drummer is here" Luke says excited " hey y/n long time no see" Ashton said as he giggles " you know him" Michael asked confused " yeah he walked me to school today. He's the guy I couldn't stop thinking or talking about today. SHIT!!!!" You say remembering he's right there. His eyes open wide. He giggles. You are embarrassed ! " so now do you admit you have a crush on him?" Luke asked. You look at Michael he looks jealous he's liked you for along time. You replied "no i will not Luke ". " is little Mikey jealous " Calum says. Calum is the only one who knows Michael likes you. " no. Why would i be?" Michael says. " I didn't know you played drums." You say to Ashton "so y/n how do you know them?" Ashton asked " well these dorks are some of the losers i go to school with, they are also my best friends. Well my only friends " you say " well I'm your friend " Ashton says " not really I've known you for less then 24 hours" you say " well i can still be your friend " ash says " whatever " you say " we better start rehearsing before they get here" Michael says " chill out Michael I'm making a new friend " you say " but we really should " luke says. You sit down watching your friends rehearsing. You mostly watch Ashton play his drum well his cajon. You're so interested in how fast is hands and move. You used to watch Michael play the guitar all the time when you would watch there practices or them make a cover. But when Michael taught you guitar it wasn't was fun to watch anymore. But Ashton playing his Cajon was different. You couldn't play that. It seemed so interesting. His smile seemed bigger when he played. Now people are showing up cause it's time for the gig. There's only 12 but still as Ashton played for those 12 people his smile was still bigger than ever. You know that if that boy ever lost his smile it would be horrible. The worst thing in the world would be him losing that smile. The 12 people in the crowd cheer for your friends. And Ashton is looking at you and only you. You don't know why he's only looking at you. You look at Cal. You've been best friends with Cal since you were 5 years old. Out of those 10 years this is the happiest you've seen him. Luke  looks shocked that more than 1 person showed up. Michael looks happy yet nervous. He looks like he's waiting for him to mess up and ruin the show. But he won't and he didn't. After the show they met and talk with the 12 people. You've never liked being in the stoplight but Ashton stands up at the microphone and says " that's y/n she's a good friend to all of us you should talk to her" you turn red. Michael has to get everyone to stop talking to you. After meeting everyone you see Calum asking Ashton to join the band. Calum is down on one knee. Ashton has the cutest smile. He giggles as he says yes to being in the band. After that you always ask Michael when the next band practice was so you could spend time with Ashton. You loved going to the band practices before Ashton but he made them better. At one practice Ashton asked if he could talk to you " yes Ashton" you say "no in private ?" He says " sure? I guess " you ask " y/n would you go out with me " Ashton asked " I would love to but... You're with Calum " you say " what?" Ashton asked " on the first gig Calum got down on one knee and asked if you would marry him" " no he asked if I would join the band" Ashton says " whatever. When's this date?" You ask " I don't know whatever works with you" Ashton isn't like the two other guys you've dated. You both work out Sunday at 2:30 pm and you're going to McDonalds for lunch" you would have went out early but you're asleep till noon on Sunday.
