Chapter 26

Fuck. I have to pee.

I shook my legs but the teacher was to busy talking to another student. My teacher finished and walked around. I rose my left hand,"Yes Paulina?" My teacher said fluently.

"I HAVE TO GO PEE!!" I screamed at her. She nodded laughing a bit. I let go of Connor's hand and I ran out the classroom through the hallway bumping into a person. I fell on the ground and everything was blurry upon me. I started to pick up my vision and found someone's hand out. I grabbed their hand and he pushed me up to his chest. For sure it was a guy because I backed away immediately revealing a tall guy with his hair up towards the sky. He had thick eyebrows and blue sharp eyes. He smiled at me which to me looked like he was a vampire from his enormously sharp teeth.

"The name is Joey." He smiled at me with his teeth shining. I smiled back to him.

"My name is Paulina." He stopped smiling for a moment and looked at me.

"Paulina?" He questioned me.

"Yea? That's my name. . ." I said awkwardly.

"Aren't you dating Connor?" I nodded back to him,"All the girls are going crazy for him now. You're pretty lucky to have a friend like him. I mean a boyfriend."

"You know him?" I said tapping my foot. C'mon hurry up with the convo I gotta take a piss.

"Of course I do. He lives next door to me! He has been going over to my house for a while. He's really cool and he talks about you a lot. He says how he fell in love with you at first sight and how beautiful you are." Joey smiled and ran his hand through his hair.

"Wow." I am amazed that Connor actually said that about me. No one has ever said that about me. Especially a guy.

Joey totally changed the topic,"Do you know Ricky?" My mind just blew up with Connor and went to Joey's question. I looked into his eyes. Why would he ask this question. I didn't answer back but Joey did,"Well, I am sure you know him. But I guess the rumors of you and Connor have been dating is around the school. And it caught up on Ricky." I was about to walk away but Joey put his arm on my right shoulder,"I'm sure your happy with Connor. And I believe you and Connor are better than Ricky and you." Joey smiled and sighed,"I'm going to be your new best friend. If anyone wants to hurt you, they have to go through me. I have to go." Joey walked away and I ran to the restroom.

Second period went good. Nothing new. But lunch changed it. I walked out of my second period class with Connor beside me. His arm was over his my shoulders and he came up something,"I'm going to show you my friends." Connor smiled and kept me next to him. We walked over to a bench with a lot of muscular tall guys. But what caught my attention was a guy sitting on the side with messy brunette hair.

Connor took me over to the bench and introduced me to his friends. There was this really nice guy named Marcus Butler and two twins who really looked exactly alike named Jack and Finn. I got off the table because I saw Joey and I hugged him for no reason.

"You know Joey?" Connor said pointing to him. I nodded and turned to Joey.

"What is with the guy at the side of the bench?" I peeked over at the guy with the messy brunette hair,"Does he have any friends?" Joey sighed and let go.

"He's. . . Not a lot of people talk to him because he is really shy. I've tried to talk to him but he would just budge away. He's really nice but a lot of people pick off on him. They throw food and papers at him all the time." I felt so sad for the guy. I felt a weird feeling and walked over to him. I sat beside him.

"Hey." I smiled at him and he kept on looking at his fingers,"Aren't you in my third period class?" He looked over at me.

"Mr. Garyola?" He said on the softest voice. I nodded at him and he smiled a bit,"Same here." His small smile faded away and he went back down looking at his fingers.

"What's your name?" I asked him catching his attention,"My name is Paulina." I said to him smiling the best as I could. I heard a couple kids behind is saying mean things about me sitting next to this guy but Connor shooed them off. The guy looked up to me and I noticed how handsome he was. How can such a good looking guy like him get bullied? He actually dressed really nice than others. Dark brown skinny jeans, not to tight, and I short green t-shirt.

"My name is Toby. Toby Turner." His smile came back and he sat up a little more.

"That's cool. I like that name a lot." I smiled and Connor came over to us,"Whatcha need Connor? Are you doing to bully him around?"

"No. No way I do not bully others. It's horrible to do that." Connor said glaring at me,"Wanna walk a bit?" Connor asked holding my hand up. I shook my head no.

"Can I stay with Toby for the rest of lunch?" I asked Connor looking up at him. Connor nodded and walked away with Joey and the others. But Joey walked to me and pulled my wrist up.

"I think you are the only person who made him smile for once." Joey said to me with his tight grip onto my wrist.

"His name is Toby." I said to him making it correct.

"Yea, Toby. But I've never seen Toby smile before! It's amazing! You must be a bright lady!" Joey smiled with his teeth showing and I walked back to Toby.

"Do you want to walk around with me?" I asked Toby still standing up. He nodded and grabbed his back pack.
