"What's going on dad?" I asked my dad. I'm here but I felt not being here because I can't understand why there's an overwhelming reaction from this crowd. As far as I remember, I just shown the video of the last candidate.
"You choose very well my son, My prince. She's going to be a great queen someday" my dad said thou he didn't elaborate.
And now, it's time for me to address Asia.
"Now you have seen the 35 young girls, all candidates, but only 1 will be chosen..." I hung my words again.
"Base on your reaction you already have a favorite, am I right?, good. But now, I need to make a decision of my life, who among them." Stoping again to ask for a glass of water.
"I'm sorry i need to drink first".
After drinking I said
"I'm not going to choose now, rather, I am inviting Ms. Ritch Faith Rei Seza Fiandrianana Mc Cullum to stay with us here in thr palace. I'ts a decision hard to make, so maybe inviting her first is the right decision for me to start."
And another round of applause and cheers is heard.
"Ms. Mc Cullum, expect someone from the palace to contact you immediately." I said as I was saying it to Rich.
"Once again, good evening Asia."
After the weekly report, I go straight to my parents bedroom even thou I know that they're not in there, I need to talk to my mom.
"Mom" I just whispered when the door opens,
"What's the problem? Why are you here?"
"I'm not sure if I made the right decision, if I choose the right girl."
"I think you did my prince. You saw the reaction of the people, here speech were briliant, she's only a student but she already thought of those possible laws..." My mom explained
"Go, go to your room, relax ok... And by the way, your father is with his adviser studying what your future wife said, if it is possible to change the system" she said smiling.
Rich POV
"What the hech, where does that come from?" I said seeing myself on screen.
My mom as usual just smiling, Adan frantic seeing me on t.v
"Mom what's happening, why am I on the Report?" I asked my mom
"You said it right, in that speech of yours, that was brilliant for a queen."
"But mom,I'm not a queen. And never will be."
"Don't say that, have you seen that speech of yours? That was the best ever speech by a Queen in hundred year. You can't deny it."
Then someone is knocking on our door.
When mom opens it, a mam in suit is outside and he asked "Is this Mc Cullum residence?"
"Yes, why, and who are you?"
"I'm from the palace and I have here an invitation for ms. Mc Cullum" the man said.
"Wait, I'll just call her, please come in and sit in the couch"
When I'm infront of the man, he produce a red scroll which means that it's an official document from the palace.
"I'm not gonna open it, I know what's that. You can tell the prince that I'm not going anywhere."
"But Ms. This is a declaration from the king, you must not disregard it"
"I already said it. You can go now!"
"Mr. Can I talk to you?" Mom said, and they walk going to the door, they talk outside where I cant hear it.
When mom goes in she said to me, "you have one week to stay with us and you'll be going to manila, to the capital and the palace" she said without looking to me.
"But mom"
"No but this time, you'll go wether you like it or not!"
