I ran down the hall. "Dad! I want a ice cream cone!"I screamed. He thinks it is cute when I act like a kid so I do it regularly to help him feel better."Daddy!"I giggled. The front door slammed shut. He Has Been Gone The Whole Time?!"I thought you said your daughter is close to my age." A deep male voice said. I heard my dad sigh,"She is."
I marched in with a lopsided grin. My dad hugged me and twirled me around. I laughed but stopped eyeballing the woman. She was semi tall, blonde wavy hair,green eyes,and makeup but not to much. I give her a mean look. She whimpers and steps back. I hug her and laugh."Welcome to the family!"I reassured her.
A tall guy with brown hair smiles at me. I give him a grin back .I am seventeen but my birthday is in two weeks. "Not being mean but who are you?"I ask the guy stroking an imaginary bread. He chuckled in a low voice."I am Zane, your father helped me out along time ago. I am a friend of Archers."He introduced himself. At the mention of Archers name,I frowned then when I seen dad looking at me,so I smiled. My big brother left after his eighteenth birthday. It nearly killed dad.
"I will show Zane to his room so you and Ashley can have some Aline time. No banging on e counter, I eat there!"I yelled causing both adults to blush. Zane shakes his head with a smile. "What is up,pretty boy?"I ask.
"Sou think I am pretty?"He teases."Don't let it get to your head."I warned him.
I lead him to the room across mine. "Here you go. Enjoy your stay at Hotel Grey."I smiled. He nods and winks at me. At dinner,I let out a yawn. "I am an angel...just say it already Zane."I tease when I caught him looking at me. He just laughed. "If I am suppose to lie then I should say your angry bird shirt is cute."Zane told me. "Thanks,"I said then thought about it."Hey!"I yelled realizing he was insulting my shirt. He busted out laughing.
I decided to go to sleep and forget everything.
