I know that not all stories have a happy ending and I certainly thought that this one wouldn’t. But 2 years on and my life is great. Jimmy and I have done up the apartment and he’s now letting out the other apartments in the building. Nothing could be better between us, everything’s perfect

The band is doing amazing. We’ve just been signed to a record deal, and after around 2 minutes of discussion, we’ve hired Greig as our manager. We’ve got a major gig in Boston next week.

Also Roxy and Danny have a 1 year old son. His name’s Marty, he’s so cute and one of his first words was ‘Jimmy.’ Great influence huh? Anyway, Danny and Roxy do love missing out on parties and gigs...not.

Bud moved in with Liberty soon after I returned to JingleTown, he’s one of those guys who’d move anywhere.

Apart from that, there’s nothing much else to say.

Except from that just now, I’m standing in the summer sun with my eyes closed behind my biker sunglasses.

In a red vest top and black mini skirt, with my plastic cup filled, people surrounding a nervous new band on the makeshift stage, a light breeze,  and an atmosphere filled with bliss, I was all set for the ‘Jingle Town summer Punk Festival.’ All I needed now was for a certain someone to join me after a day at their new job. Things were definitely back on track, I got my job back at Hellfire (hard to juggle with the band doing so well) and Jimmy had started work at a recording studio in Oakland just a few months ago.

My skin soaked up the daylight when Jimmy came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my neck. In a red shirt and black tie, he looked very punk, but very business.

“Hello...” he said menacingly in my ear

“Hello,” I smirked and dragged him round to face me. “How was work?” I swung his hands from side to side.

“Fine,” he stopped me and kissed the back of mine. “We had some shit band from Texas in today.”

“Oh well you’ll need some cheering up then,” I bit my lip.

“Oh, I suppose the festival will do that for me then,” he shrugged.

“You better only be joking,” I frowned.

“Does this answer your question?” he leaned in, kissed me and ran his fingers through my hair, he knew I loved it when I did that. I placed my hand on his shoulder and the first JingleTown band began their set. The sun beat down hard on everyone, and made it hard to watch the band without being blinded.

“Yeah,” I laughed.

To get the crowd in the mood, the band started with ‘Are We the Waiting.’

Everyone raised their glasses and swayed them from side to side. My arm around his shoulder, his around my waist. As the song continued, it came to-

‘Heads or Tails, Fairy Tales in my Mind.’

So here I stand today, looking up at the guy I love, truly happy. But I’ll tell you...

There’s no such thing as the ‘Perfect Fairytale.’
