They heard the guard shriek in pain as they ran deeper into the woods.

"After them!" The other guard screamed.

Dimitrius pulled out his map and analyzed it quickly. A hand grabbed his wrist and yanked him close.

"Careful," Emilia whispered.

He had almost run into a tree. He blushed in embarrassment and kept reading the map.

"What was the small village called again?" He asked himself.

"Woodhaerst," Emilia said softly.

"There!" they heard a guard scream.

"Princess," Emilia said sternly.

"Right," the princess mumbled, before slowing down.

Emilia slowed down and allowed Alice to hop on her back. Alice held on tight, worried. Emilia caught up to Dimitrius and looked at him.

"There's a town nearby," he looked behind him, "we were by the west of the village so we must be reaching a town by now."

"What's the town called?" Emilia asked.

"Roselake," Dimitrius said.

"Roselake, Will and I have been here. I know a shortcut," Emilia said, before grabbing his wrist and running off into the left.

Dimitrius tensed up, nervous. There was only one way in! They stopped by a small gulch. Dimitrius looked at Emilia, confused. She carefully crawled down into it and looked up at Dimitrius.

"What?" she asked, waiting for him.

"Right..." he mumbled, before carefully crawling down there as well.

Emilia walked deeper into the gulch, only to be in a small hole, tall enough for Will to be able to jump around in.

"This leads to a small cave nearby," Emilia said softly.

"How do you know this?" Dimitrius asked.

"I fell down here when I was about 10. I found my way towards the town in here," she said.

You could hear the smile in her voice. Dimitrius grinned and followed after her. Soon they ended up in a small cave, not far from the town.

"How long did it take you to get back?" Dimitrius asked.

"3 hours. An hour and a half was spent with me on the floor, hopeless," she said before pulling up her hood.

Dimitrius shut up, not wanting to speak. The princess pulled hers on as well and held on close once more.

"How long does it take to get to the village?" Alice asked.

Emilia tried to hide her emotions, but tensed up anyway. Dimitrius gasped and looked over at the princess.

"Just a few minutes now," she said softly.

"Sunlight up ahead," Dimitrius said.

The princess buried her face in Emilia's neck. She held on close for comfort. Sunlight invaded the small dark hole. A little kid sat there, poking things around with a stick. Once he noticed them, he stood up quickly and glared at them.

"Who are you?!" The little kid screamed at them.

Dimitrius frowned and opened his mouth to speak.

"Is it okay if I know who you are first?" Emilia asked sweetly.

The child pointed his stick at them and glared at them.

"I'm Henry! The bravest warrior in this town!" he said confidently.
